Since we’ve got a bunch of car stories here at DU today, it’s a good time for some excellent ads about ’em. But ya gotta watch ’em now. Won’t be here tomorrow. Nope. So waddya say we go inside and watch ’em now. We got a deal? Wiggle, wiggle, wump.

I love the badger videos! And I’m sure the woman in the video appreciated the salesman pointing out the steering wheel and clarifying its purpose (kids, don’t try that at home).
Great set of commercials.
My favorites are still the Trunk Monkey ads by Suburban Auto Group.
The first one is still my favorite… test drive on highway = “joy ride”, etc.
While the “wait until your husband gets here”, and “no point in looking under the hood” were a close 2nd.
Great ads right?
Quick then, without looking. where’s the location of the dealership?
#3 bh28630. You got me. Even when I looked I couldn’t figure it out. Where is it?
bh28630, the correct answer is RALEIGH, NC.
ALl you have to do is a GOOGLE search for “johnson lexus’.
sheesh Ah_Yeah, use that Google!
OFF TOPIC – Uncle Dave, interesting link, this guy arranged the Pope’s Mass in NYC:

BADGERS??!!! BADGERS???!!!! WEEEEE DON NEED NO STINKING BADGERS!!!!
The point being the ad draws attention to itself but does little or nothing for the dealership. This one was so bad it required Google just to find where there are no stinking badgers. The self indulgent advertising agency should be fired.
Well — if you live in Raleigh, like I do, you know about Johnson — this is absolutely not their first (or only) ad series. The target audience is well aware of them, this ad serves to differentiate them. I doubt most people would drive much more than 50 mi. to a car dealership, no matter how good their ads were — so giving a location in the ads just adds unnecessary clutter.
Badger! Badger! Badger! Badger! Badger! Badger! Badger! Badger! Badger! Badger! Badger! Badger!
Mustang! Mustang!
Badger! Badger! Badger! Badger! Badger! Badger! Badger! Badger! Badger! Badger! Badger! Badger!
Viper!
#9, Raleigh,
Good point and I would agree.
#9 – I hear ya there. I’m in the Triangle area as well, and I LOVE those ads. Would I buy a car because of the ad? No, but it certainly is catchy.
bh28630 might be correct if it were a national ad, but since it’s local, everyone that sees it would know where the dealership was.
