“I can do that,” Keith Walendowski told Milwaukee police after his arrest. “It’s my lawn mower and my yard, so I can shoot it if I want.”

Police charged Mr Walendowski with possession of a short-barreled shotgun or rifle and disorderly conduct.

Mr Walendowski said he would tell police “the truth,” according to the complaint. “I got pissed because my lawn mower wouldn’t start, so I got my shotgun and shot it,” he said.

As for the mower, a local retailer said the gunshot damage could make its repair unlikely. “Anything not factory recommended would void the warranty,” said Dick Wagner of Wagner’s Garden Mart.

My sympathies are with Mr. Walendowski.

    #1, Bryan,

    Yes, but,

The Supreme Court just ruled that guns are necessary for the militia and all that crap. They also ruled that the police are not required to defend the populous or do their duty. Therefore if the police interfere they are bridging the Constitution and trespassing.

In Florida, there are laws against discharging a firearm in city limits.

#2. Yeah that fucking Constitution, what annoying piece of trash. We should dump it.

    #5 Is that you GW?

  6. hhopper says:

The guy’s really in trouble now… the lawnmower is pressing charges.

Guns don’t kill lawnmowers, people do!

Maybe he just didn’t have a sledge hammer handy.

#8, Like the cable guy says “I don’t care who you are, That’s funny right there”.

  10. #5 – it isn’t Dubya, it’s Herr John Ashcroft, former Attorney General.

shotguns are what you use when the steamroller is in the shop

  13. B. Dog says:

My impression was that generally rifles and shotguns have to have an overall length of 26″. Rifles have to have a barrel length of 16″, and shotguns must have a barrel length of at least 18″. In practice, many of us saw them down to 18 1/2″ so that we can bring them into Canada, although the lawnmower hunting season is very short there.

  14. edwinrogers says:

Reminds me of that Simsons episode, when Homer joined the NRA.

Reminds me of that time I was working with Windows Vista. 😉

    LOL!! 😀

    What B.Dog said.

Remember 18″ can get you Randy Weaver-ed.

He should have bought a Honda engines motor mower, starts first time…saves on shotgun cartridges

Now THAT is a fantastic mug shot.

If I ever get arrested, I hope mine is half that great.

I can’t believe no one posted this yet:

    “A Child And His Lawnmower”
    Dead Kennedys

Some clown in Sacramento was dragged into court
    He shot his lawnmower
    It disobeyed, it wouldn’t start
Might makes right, it’s the American way
They fined him $60 and sent him on his way

You know some people, don’t take no sh*t
Maybe if they did they’d have half a brain left

I’m reminded of that classic Tv commercial about car engine neglect. “Engine Killer, Engine Killer!”

I suppose it was legal only in Graceland for Elvis to shoot his Tv set. Royalty has its perks.
