Why should Christians have all the delight of food-revealed messages from beyond?

Diners have been flocking to a restaurant in northern Nigeria to see pieces of meat which the owner says are inscribed with the name of Allah.

What looks like the Arabic word for God and the name of the prophet Muhammad were discovered in pieces of beef by a diner in Birnin Kebbi.

He was about to eat it, when he suddenly noticed the words in the gristle, the restaurant owner said.

A search of the kitchen’s meat revealed three more pieces which bore the names.

“When the writings were discovered there were some Islamic scholars who come and eat here and they all commented that it was a sign to show that Islam is the only true religion for mankind,” he said.

Uh-huh.

Thanks, Mr. Justin

Neeeeh. I showed it to my flatmates whose first language is Arabic. Middle eastern eyebrows went up and down for half a minute accompanied by heads tiled at various angles – followed by “It can’t be read.” [and then lots of laughter when I mentioned what it was supposed to say]

Perhaps there was something else in the food ??

So some fool had a “branding iron” or meat press, made up of the word. And imprinted the meat. Are these so-called scholars so ignorant of the world, that all they know is how to read arabic in meat? And they believe God communicates that way? I’ll bet the eatery gets a sales boost. Probably all arranged for between the discoverer and those scholars. Hey, God appeared to me at my friend’s comicbook store. Come quick, before he loses his lease.

  10. Hmmmm says:

What part of the …uh… rat? squirrel? snake? … did this “meat” come from?

People all over the world will see whatever they want to see in stuff but what bothers me is “they all commented that it was a sign to show that Islam is the only true religion for mankind”. That is what the western world is up against. Check out “America Alone”.

My alphabet soup once spelled out “ATT” and that proves what?

Actually, that second T might have been an upside down L.

This is no more-or-less ridiculous than sports fans wearing their lucky hat on game day. Yet, because it is religious that same sportsfan will judge the Muslim.

I had just got from work and tired so I enjoyed the article.
You can make out the word ‘allah’ if you really really wanted to but there is no need.
If anybody wants a miracle read the qur’an.. if it is too much, click my name or google ‘priests and preachers entering islam’.
I bet nobody here has read the qur’an (or the english translation of close meaning).

And the catholics have their statues and pictures of Mary that weep, now and then. No explanation for why. But that’s all these visages ever do, because it easy to fake. It gets the public back into their churches, and increases the donations. So I suspect the priests involve figure, what’s the harm of a little deception, to increase the faith?

Just like certain ex-astronauts making up stories about alien visitations. What’s the harm in a little deception that increases the faith in their aerospace demigod. Especially as NASA and friends (Boeing, etc) depend on the public tax dollars, donated via Congress. When the “cold war” reasons for the space program, ran out. They began the “search for life elsewhere” reason. But try as they have, not a crumb of life has been discovered. So it helps to keep the UFO myth alive.

That “face on Mars” came from a NASA source. It got them the funding to go back and photograph the area again. NO FACE! Then we learn that there was considerable “enhancement” to the original image. Forcing it to look more face like. AKA, making their picture of Mary cry. It seems that someone is always faking something, in order to get the public support they need.

  16. The meat was boiled and fried, then served with gristle?

Jeez. No wonder they’re cranky, eating shit like that.
