  1. Personality says:

The sound effects are only slightly childish.

  2. UNKN says:

I saw a picture of what they presented as the “new” 360 dashboard, talk about terrible. There’s nothing wrong with the current one, unless they can’t add some features to it. What they need to do is copy what they have now visually and rewrite it so they can add whatever they want. I like the way my themes display and such and it’s not hard to use.

  3. QB says:

Love the sound effects. Two thumbs up for the cat lady from the Simpsons.

The XBox group at MS may the best group in Redmond. If anyone can makes changes and improve things it’s them. They actually think about design up front, test lots of ideas, throw away bad stuff, and work with their customers. They should take over the Vista team.

  4. jasmoran66 says:

    Conglomerate?

[Same to you too buddy! 😀 – ed.]

  5. the answer says:

Digg to be sold to Google? What so millions of more people can comment about news articles before they read them? Digg is the walmart of news blogs. I wonder why Google woudl be interested in buying it. Yes it gets a lot of views and so you can put a lot of ads on it, but from what I saw in the past they are hostile towards ads.

  6. hhopper says:

Digg is millions of kids who don’t have a clue.

  7. Eideard says:

Can anyone remember any Microsoft commercial?

    OK, after Bob…

  8. Justin From Penn says:

    Bloglomerate. 😀
By the way I like the sound effects but the construction crew was way too much.

  9. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz says:

I used to read digg every day last year.

Now more people but just bunch of stupid apple fan boys.

Now I just go there and post something stupid to fire up the fan boys.

  10. KaChing says:

Kevin is off to never never land. Lucky Rastard!

  11. The DON says:

Please lose the sound effects (or at least show some moderation in using them like this episode)

When overused, it appears as childishness, but when used sensibly can be very amusing.

  12. Esteban says:

    John,

I like the sound effects in general, but there are a few that annoy me (like the auctioneer the other day). I also like new sound effects and sound clips whenever possible, just to keep things fresh and interesting.

Thanks, and keep up the good work.

  13. KD Martin says:

Sound effects are fine. Just mix ’em a little better, a little less volume, make the listener want to hear them rather than overwhelm.

Keep the Hank Hill and Simpsons quotes coming.

  14. billabong says:

John ANYTHING that makes you smile you should keep.I always thought that was your little laugh when you found out you pissed off Jobs again.I love the effects and yes they are childish.

  15. hackaback says:

google is doing it real good … they will buy all the top websites…and put lots of ads in it
