George W. Bush Sewage Plant plan is on ballot. San Francisco voters will be asked to decide whether to name a city sewage plant in honor of President Bush, after a satiric measure qualified for the November ballot Thursday.

McConnell, who came up with the idea over beers with friends, often donned an Uncle Sam outfit to drum up support for the petition. The all-volunteer group of signature gatherers often carried around an American flag and blasted patriotic music from a boom box to attract attention. He said the campaign to pass the measure will be an equally grassroots effort.

A White House spokeswoman, when asked about the measure several weeks ago, refused to comment.
Perfect place for the Bush Library?
Still too prestigious for the #$^&ing @%*(hole.
Unfortunately, this actually puts him in some good company:

Maybe if the sewage itself were to be renamed…
What a shame
Yet for a few hanging shards Gore would of been elected as president
Wonder how the left wing and environmental groups would regard him now rather than poor maligned president Bush
God bless America
I am against it. sewage treatment plants clean up sh*t. GWB has left us in a WORLD of sh*t.
#2. I am waiting for “drop a dubya” to enter into the vocabulary.
My first reaction is that the picture should have been saved for the “Caption This Photo” theme.

Well it couldn’t be worse. Most normal people would categorically state that Gore would have been a much better President. Of course the abnormal idiots that believe in some mythical being still think that fucked up asshole of a moran in the White House is god’s gift to them.
Sewage plants everywhere should complain… after all, they take enough s*** now 🙂
And don’t (seriously) put it all on George (or Shrub as Molly Ivins called him). We, the US people, elected a man who wrecked our reputation in the world, stretched our military to the breaking point, let out economy not just stagnate but plummet, and all in the name of lowering taxes, preserving freedom and God… and we can’t figure out what went wrong :[
Let ’em do it. It would be public testament to how petty and messed up liberals are. Bush should encourage it and show up at the dedication.
At least we’re still alive to see this unlike the armageddon that would have occurred under Gore.
There’s a larger question. Do we disrespect the Presidency, if we disrespect the current occupant of said office. As any vet knows, you salute the rank, not the man. And at times that can be very hard to do.
A sewage plant would be way too generous… I’d go with a landfill or a junk yard. Seeing as how they are both visual eyesores to local residents.
Yeah liberals just look down on people doing menial tasks.
Bush should embrace this as he has had to clean up liberals’ shit .
I wish I could vote for this.
Yes !
#10. oh, yeah – liberals are the ones calling the ranks of the un- and under-employed a bunch of ‘whiners.’
That would be nice to have a sewage plant here in Texas named after Dubyah. Right next to the Rick Perry dump.
I have a sneaking suspicion that I may be the only Texan posting on these boards and I don’t fit into the red’s mold! 🙂
#13, Stephanie, Not the only Texan. There are a few of us here. Perhaps they’ll dedicate the GWB Memorial Tire Pile, right next to that Rick Perry Dump.

Don’t say that! It can _always_ be worse!
Bush would probably prefer an Airport renamed after him or his father. Just like Reagan got. But if the price of fuel keeps skyrocketting, they’ll be closing some of those down soon. Hardly anyone can afford the fares, if things get any worse. So maybe he should petition for a train station or bus terminal renaming. Or really think ahead, and go for the bike path dedication.
