#144 – I have no problem with burning carbon for energy. It is essential for our economy. Contrary to popular belief while our hydrocarbon use has increased air quality has also increased:
– The United States has sharply reduced air pollution levels, despite large increases in nominally “polluting” activities
– Areas in the United States with the highest pollution levels have improved the most
– Air quality in the United States will continue to improve
– Regulators and environmental activists exaggerate air pollution levels and obscure positive trends in the United States
– Air pollution affects far fewer people, far less often, and with far less severity than is commonly believed.

There is nothing anytime soon that can come close to Hydrocarbon energy and people who think otherwise are delusional. Only Nuclear Power can offer a realistic alternative to coal and natural gas for electrical generation but this will not replace oil for transportation. Maybe someday hydrogen will become viable when oil becomes too expensive but the environmentalist delusional fantasies of using wind, solar and biofuels don’t even come close to reality. These sort of “solutions” are a cruel joke being pushed on an uneducated public.

Anyone remember a few years back all the science pointed to smoking cig’s causing cancer. There was also then a number of scientists in the employment of large tobacco companies that were arguing the contrary. Same thing now. There are also the ostrich’s with their heads in the sand grasping for any contrary view to Global Warming and wanting to maintain their excessive carbon generating lifestyle.
Do a Google on “Ocean Acidification” and have a read of the independently funded science. Don’t read the summaries by non-scientists or journo’s. Go get a science education an make up your own mind.

The page is being posted by yourself all over the internet under various names: Mastertech, PopularTech, Poptech, Andrew… and then sections of the page are cut and pasted in reply to comments.
All debate can be summarised with a simple example. Would any of the “so called” sceptics buy land or invest on property that is sold very cheap today but if Global warming or climate change would “sink” em under sea? ….Prove it by buying hotels in Mauritius/Madives and other endangered areas (Everglades too) or as Pops said: STFU Money talks bullshit walks.!
