How does this compare with iPhone: it already has built in touchscreen and internet, bluetooth, you can open office files, etc. I just think it would be one less item to carry around if you could do all things eepc on iphone. Neither of them has cd/dvd drives anyway. i know that macbook air is just hot air but how does eepc is better than iPhone? Can anybody elaborate on this?

“muslim”? That’s your nickname? Are you kidding me? The terrorist propaganda has no limits these days…

  6. muslim says:

Yes, periklis, I can choose whatever nickname I want. I’m sorry if you choose to be so T errorized
    easily from a nickname.
Thanks for keeping ignorance and prejudice based propaganda alive!

  7. muslim,

The eee pc now comes with 20GB of “disk” actually flash memory and 2 GB of RAM. It runs linux and has USB ports for external drives. The larger screen makes it more acceptable for doing things like photo editing. The full size keyboard allows for touch typing.

I think the eee pc is a real computer. The iPhone is not really intended to be used as such. Perhaps if all you want is to surf the web without typing much, the iPhone may be OK. I doubt you’ll do much real computing with it though.

This touch screen capability is obviously useful for a portable.

This guy stole ReVista’s thunder! Isn’t this exactly what Bill and Co. promised for Win7?

I can see where this would be useful for a graphic artist. Say you have a 2 monitor system. One monitor displays the tools while the other has the touch screen tabletop which you draw on.

    That would be good.

Muslim, This is a real computer. The iPhone is a fancy toy.

  10. deowll says:

Kinda cool but for some reason I don’t like anyone touching my monitor screens.

The Eeee PC is a vastly more logical choice than an iphone unless of course you have money to burn.

Okay, who am I kidding. I’d rather pay for an Eee PC that get an Iphone free with the kind of deal you have to do with ATT to use it.

I think I’d rather have a 2.5 inch hard drive than the flash ram though.

    Linux is okay.
