In Russia, they just unveiled a bronze monument to, uh, the enema. I am not making this up. A health spa specializing in illnesses of the digestive tract commissioned a $42,000 statue of cherubs carrying an enema syringe. When balloons lifted a red drape into the sky this week, there it was…

The artist was inspired by a classic Botticelli painting, and she says she sees irony in the work. I guess maybe she should call the thing ”The Ironic Colonic.”

The monument to the medical instrument used to introduce liquids into the body via the anus is the only one of its kind in Russia, the hospital said.

No shit?

“The artist . . . sees irony in the work”
    What’s ironic about this?

  2. Peter iNova says:

If the enema thing doesn’t work out over time, they can rename it “Raindrops Keep Falling On My Head,” and give it a second life.

I’m sure they could make a lot of money if they catered to Japanese tourists.

I think its a great idea!

Remember, you never think an enema is a big deal…until you actually need one.

And here I’ve been using something like that to flush the wax out of my ears, all this time. Though not as large. This russian model is more appropriate for George Bush’s ears. Or Dick Cheney’s butt hole. But probably way too small to suit our collective congress’ needs.

  9. James Hill says:

This will look great outside the convention in Denver.
