A senior Israeli government source told Army Radio on Tuesday that US President George W. Bush intends to launch an attack against Iran before the end of his second term.
The Israeli learned of the planned attack from a senior US counterpart who was a member of Bush’s entourage during the president’s visit to Israel last week.
The official said that Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney are convinced that military action against Iran is necessary immediately, but that the move is being held up by “the hesitancy of Defense Secretary Robert Gates and Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice.”

Labor Day +2: Bush assassinated. Convention turns to grief.
Labor Day +28-40: Osama captured. Cheney takes credit. Proclaims Republican policies did the job.
Election Day week: McCain wins after Supreme Court rules on Florida “confusion.”
Election Day +20-40: Bush assassination revealed to be work of Cheney.
Election Day +60: Cheney dies of natural causes in Gitmo.
Election Day +36,500: US completely out of Iraq for first time. General understanding is that US will be out of Iran “shortly.”

They’ll probably just stage another attack like the Gulf of Tonkin and 9/11 and they’ll be no question as to whether or not we should invade.
