I’m the first to admit that I like right-wing talk radio, especially the big boys with the syndicated shows. That said you can see why syndicated big shots are so popular when you compare them to the local lightweights. The worst of this ilk are on the weekends only. They don’t know anything, they ramble. They are the worst sort of knee-jerk wannabees. There must be 100 or more of them. The democrats could do worse than drag them on to the national spotlight to humiliate them like this, but they won’t. And I cannot understand how this James guy didn’t get the memo about Neville Chamberlain. Even I know what’s up with that and I am not in the game. Listen to the most recent No Agenda (linked here) for what’s going on with the Chamberlain references.

  1. Mister Mustard says:

Yeah, Kevin “The Douche Bag” James certainly got smacked down. Hard. This guy epitomizes right-wing AM radio talk-show hosts. It’s not for nothing he’s called a douche bag.

  2. bobbo says:

The “Big Boys?” that means Rush Limbaugh right?

Makes me wonder what you mean by “like.”

  3. SJP says:

Wise words: “When your in a hole, stop digging.”

  4. I also loved that line “when you are in a hole…”

James paid no attention and did continue to go deeper. What a clown. Then again I sometimes wonder if guys like this are planted to make conservatives look bad. It’s a trick that works. I know a producer who would stage debates with one guy being normal and the other guy being clinically insane. The results of the debate could be manipulated by using crackpots on one side or the other. And I can assure you there is no shortage of no-nothing crackpots who are on both sides of any debate.

  5. stopher2475 says:

I wonder if Bush knew what Chamberlain did. I’m sure after they caught him up in case someone asked him.

  6. The Warden says:

I have listened to Kevin when he was on KABC 790 and he’s not dummy (he’s an ex fed Prosecutor) but here he plays the dummy. He should have just said he didn’t the specifics. Regardless, Soft Ball has always been a show for blow hards on the left and right headed by #1 Dem blow hard Chrissy Mathews.

  7. CPDay says:

I had never heard of Kevin James before this, but he did something I never heard before. He managed to make Mark Green sound reasonable.

  8. Mister Mustard says:

    >>he’s not dummy … but here he plays the dummy.

I’d say he gets an Oscar, a Tony, a Country/ Western Music + MTV Award, and wins American Idol.

If that guy’s not a dummy, he’s the closest fucking thing I’ve ever seen.

Talk about somebody blowing smoke outta their ass.

  9. Sying Flaucer says:

Limbaugh/Beck is no better, if somebody calls in and makes a legitamate point he doesn’t agree with he cuts them off and reframes the argument to suit his agenda.

  10. Mister Mustard says:

    >>Then again I sometimes wonder if guys like
    >>this are planted to make conservatives
    >>look bad.

“Conservative” nutballs this far to the right of center don’t need “plants” to make themselves look bad. They are award-winning all by their litle chickenhawk selves.

  11. Mr. Gawd Almighty says:

I am quite sure the “nutballs” on the right far outnumber the “nutballs” on the left.

This guy did nothing to convince anyone about Bush speaking to the Knesset.

  12. Imposter says:

Man, I can’t even make a comment without whining. I said a few things about how incredibly annoying MM is and then I get chastised for a derogatory URL. Can’t you just boot MM?

  13. raster says:

    #6
    wouldn’t say tweety was a Dem – he’s a tool.

Big deal, he set up a stooge on his show. Normally, they can’t kowtow to CM fast enough on slimeball. So CM ganked a noob – who cares?

  14. Mister Mustard says:

    >>Man

I’m sure Eds. think I’m every bit as annoying as you do, Imposter. Not sure what your “derogatory URL” was, but it must have been pretty fucking foul to get it deleted.

And hey, how about that douchebag Kevin James? Is he a sloppy-second Limbaugh, or what? Christ, what a moran. Let’s have more dipsticks like him. He’s the best thing that’s happened to red-blooded Americans and the Democratic party since Dumbya.

    BRING IT ON!

  15. bobbo says:

I wonder if this wasn’t a proper case of appeasement:

pacify, conciliate; especially : to buy off (an aggressor) by concessions usually at the sacrifice of principles

and isn’t that just what Obama/Carter want to do? That is, sit down with terrorist governments and legitimize their authenticity in the hope they will be reasonable?

You don’t to give permission to invade a country to qualify as a appeaser.

  16. comhcinc says:

these is what happens when these talk radio guys are took out of the studio and don’t have control. I would like to hear how this guy trys to spin this today.

  17. Personality says:

Why is watching old rich guys have a “my cock is bigger than yours” yelling contest fun to watch?

  18. The Pirate says:

This is to funny. Frankly I am astounded George Bush Jr. even brought the subject up, especially in Israel. Never mind Kevin James’ ignorance on the subject, the president of the United States doesn’t even need to check the history books he can check his own family’s history about ‘appeasement’ with Nazi Germany before WWII.

The congressman, William Borah, a Republican senator from Idaho along with Bush’s grandfather Prescott (the guy who also maybe stole Geronimo’s skull) was a supporter of Adolph Hitler and the Third Reich during WWII. Prescott, having failed at a coup d’etat to remove Roosevelt, along with Borah preached ‘appeasement’ non-stop during the period leading up to WWII.

As a congressman, Prescott fought to keep America from fighting Fascism in Europe because he was reaping the financial gains from his support.

He also had his assets frozen for Trading with the Enemy.

    Look it up.

    It’s in the Congressional Record.

The Bush Empire was built on their support of Nazi Germany.

  19. McCullough says:

This WAS funny, but listening to Mathews is like listening to a bored 4 year old on a road trip, “are we there yet, are we there yet, are we there yet”?

  20. DocColorado says:

I’m in the middle of reading a new book, “Marching Toward HELL” by Michael Scheuer.

Michael was in the CIA, head of the “Bin Laden” unit.

Suggest you all that are interested, read it. But you won’t find him blaming any particular party, he blames them all, covering the last 35 years and the untenable set of foreign policies and national-security strategies that are have been are in place.

The US policies toward the Middle East have been in place for 30+ years, and have run out of gas.

Key take away from the book – “nuance argument.”

It’s why we can’t make a decision that is timely.

    Sounds to me like “appeasement.”

  21. Jägermeister says:

#3 – SJP – Wise words: “When your in a hole, stop digging.”

Agreed. Unfortunately the ignorant fuck just didn’t get it.

  22. emailc says:

Here’s breaking news for you John, NONE of the right wing morons on talk radio have the slightest idea what they’re talking about. Only morons don’t understand that.

  23. eyeofthetiger says:

He’s an assignment: Write down all the facts and points of augmentation during a talk show. Afterall, that is such an objective …rightly?

  24. Noam Sane says:

“Write down all the facts and points of augmentation during a talk show.”

Does the Playboy Channel have talk shows?

  25. gregallen says:

The Republicans have been throwing around this charge “Democrats are a bunch of Chamberlains” for years but I’ll guess that not one percent of them bothered to spend ten minutes Googling the subject.

  26. Jess Hurchist says:

    Guess I’m missing something.
But Radio host? Looked like TV to me

  27. Brian says:

Hilarious, this guy epitomizes right wing talk radio. No facts, all they do is run their mouths, all they do is attack without being provoked.

    Great watch.

  28. Pirate, the blog covered the attempted coup of the USA here .. AND
we covered the Prescott Bush non-involvement here.

  29. Dude says:

I know we all like to make fun of the idiots constant stream of repeated tautologies… but I thought it might be interesting to mention why Chamberlain was willing to appease Hitler.

Chamberlain was a Conservative leader of Britain. He was very much anti-Communist. He thought the real enemy of Britain, France, Germany and the West were Stalin and the Communist Revolution he wanted to export to the West. So, Chamberlain was willing to give Hitler a few things in order to keep him happy because he figured that a war with the Soviet Union would require a unified front of all of Western Europe — Britain, France, Germany, Italy, etc.

The common belief was that a World War Two was coming, but that it was going to be the Soviet Union vs. all of Western Europe. He didn’t want it to end up forcing the Germans to be isolated and end up having to make a pact with the Soviet Union because they didn’t have any other choice.

And then… low and behold, the Germans and Soviets did briefly team up. At least for a partition of Poland. If Hitler had not been crazy/stupid/driven-mad-by power and thought the Soviet Union would fall over like a cardboard cutout… well, Chamberlain might very well have shown to be correct. But instead Hitler ordered an invasion of Russia before he had defeated Britain… and well… that coupled with the American entry into the war on Dec. 7,1941… that was the game.

That war was then followed by a long cold war between the US and USSR which came very close to what Chamberlain feared several times.

#22 – And Air America has/had all the answers. That’s why they had over 100 listeners nationwide at their peak.
