On a side note, I’ve always found this interesting. I call it my Cray-1 index.
Here are the specs for the original Cray-1 (1976). Weight: ~5.5 tons. Power usage: ~220,000 watts (including storage and cooling). Memory: 8 megs max. Performance: ~160 MIPS (Million Instructions Per Second).
