Nothing says FUBAR Friday (as opposed to TGIF) more than a story like this…

Pong in the air is Euro-whiff – BBC NEWS
A foul smell hanging over southern England is being blamed on easterly winds bringing either farming or industrial smells across the Channel.
Labelled “Euro-whiff” by the Met Office, the source of the smell – alternately described as sulphur and manure – is under investigation.
Members of Met Office staff were trying to trace the exact source of the “apparent atmospheric aroma”, the likely explanation was either agricultural or industrial works in western Europe.

Notice that the article avoids telling that the smell could be coming from France, saying instead that it comes from ‘Western Europe’.
Ah, so many opportunities for satire.

That’s nothing like the ‘protected agricultural smell’ that emanates from Petaluma, CA ;Chicken Poop Capital of the World; They always pick the hottest day in the fall to spread it all over the fields!

    Mmmmmm love ORGANIC farming!!!

So England’s air IS becoming unbearible smelly. While America’s air MAY be cooking the planet. And the Black Forests aren’t just colorfully named either. Can you say double standard? I’m sure #4 Bill is right about Petaluma. And I hear that those pig mega-farms down in the Carolines create a pretty horrible smell too. Not to mention tons of sewage.

  13. TheGlobalWarmer says:

The stench of collectivism taking physical form.
