Reminds me of great aunt Helga, who always wanted to go outside on the deck after eating grandma Frieda’s 3 bean salad and cabbage casserole, so she could burn an El Producto and fog for mosquitoes.

She was one tough bowl of shaky pudding.

  2. Extended says:

The first question with any commercial or ad for a product whether it is for beverages ,movies or extended hotel rooms is “Whom is this ad for ?”
There is always a target market for any ad
Whom is this ad directed at ?
Idiots who eat the wrong foods or are fat bloated idiots ?
Or people who become so embararrassed at watching this ad that they turn off the tv and somehow buy the product
The product image is certainly not going to be enhanced- you will have fat gas passers rather than the dancing beauties and girls and guys who you would like to invite home ( depending on your preferences) of the “Pepsi Generation”
Its amazing that ad agencies can produce this stuff and sell it to more clueless executives up top
Its amazing that there can be such stupidity in the ad agencies / business ???
True one can say the ad will be noted or remembered – but at what negative cost to the the product and product line
Reminds me of all the useless ads that are a whole industry in telling kids not to do drugs
Its a whole lucrative industry for the adults involved
Yet if you asked kids ( guess a focus group) who could be simply standing outside a local 7/11 what they thought of the ad and its effectiveness to their group /market they would laugh their head off at the apparent stupidity
the phrase is lol and complete idiots

#2 -Shut up, it was a funny commercial.

  4. Fred says:

    Not funny, not clever.

  5. adventureran says:

    #4 – Agreed.

  6. Balbas says:

    I agree with #3.

I showed it to my mom and she was howling. (We know a mutal somebody who fits the crime.)

  7. Mac Guy says:

“ninja of the nasty.” Brilliant. I love the elevator scene. He sure crop-dusted that place.

  8. STFUPlease says:

Extended: Well, you’ve established that self-righteous Canadian spammers(*) with terminal logorrhea aren’t part of this commercial’s target market. Thanks for the insight.

Instead of chewing up comment turf here, how about working to curb the tyrannic kangaroo court called the Candadian Commission on Human Rights? That body threatens the free speech rights of all Canadians, especially bloggers, and is a stain on your country.

(*) His user name links to some extended stay no-tel ho-tel in Winnipeg.

P.S. No comment would be complete without mentioning the irony of Dvorak Uncensored acting as an arbiter of good taste. BWAH!

  9. gquaglia says:

#2 you’re Canadian? That explains it all.

  10. gquaglia says:

#4 and #5 Since you are above fart jokes, here is some dry geek humor that is probably more your speed.

  11. Mr. Catshit says:

    #1, Bubba,

ha ha ha ha, reminds me of the time, …

    ***

There are a few things in life we all do. This include, urinate, defecate, pass gas, and belch. Trust me. They are all natural instances of the human (animal) physiology. For the life of me, I don’t understand why so many people have such a difficult time with their own body functions. So to all those people, I say, GET A PHUKING LIFE.

  12. hhopper says:

It’s extremely unfortunate that some people just don’t have a sense of humor. If it weren’t for the humorous ads, there would be no good ads at all.

Some of the funniest people I know are Canadians.

  13. Mister Feline Feces says:

I was on an international flight in first class and was sick with a terrible stomach ache. I was with a new girl friend and I had to pass an SBD. I reached up and blew the air away from her and across the aisle. The woman across the aisle spoke in a language that I was totally unfamiliar with and she was speaking to her husband and making gagging sounds while pointing to a big black guy sitting in front of her. I nearly exploded trying to stifle my laugh.

  15. LtJackboot says:

LOL!! That was hilarious!! I hate people with no sense of humour (note the spelling). Ever notice guys in pickup trucks only smile when they’re drinking?

  16. bonscott says:

And oldie but a goodie. First heard that about 5 years ago but never seen the video.

Almost all of the Real Men of Genius series (there are over 30 of them) are funny as hell.
