Will the new safer batteries have a fire extinguisher in them?
“I wanted these walls to be softer, so I painted them in eggshell white” *rifle firing*

Is JC Dvorak trading off of JC Penney’s first name? Does that explain his popularity?
Think about it. JC Penney’s name was James Cash; while JC Dvorak’s name is John Charles…both start with a “J” and a “C”.
Sam Walton goes to work for JC Penney and then leaves in 1962 to form his own discount store. In 1962, JC Penney’s entered discount merchandising. Coincidentally, JC Dvorak is born in 1952, EXACTLY TEN YEARS BEFORE. Spooky, isn’t it?
Dvorak has written over a dozen books; Penney’s and Walmart have opened over a dozen stores.
Late in life, JC Penney checked himself into the JC Kellog, Battle Creek Sanitarium. (Remember the movie?) Kellog invented the cereal, Apple and Cracker Jacks. JC DVORAK HAS HAD A LIFE LONG HATRED OF APPLE. (God, this is weird).
After hearing the hymn, “God Will Take Care of You”, Penney became a born again Christian. (While some wonder if JC Dvorak was ever “born” at all.)
During the Great Depression, Penney joined with Thomas J. Watson, President and founder of IBM. (Ever heard of them, the computer people?) Together they teamed up with Norman Vincent Pearle, the author of “THE POWER OF POSITIVE THOUGHT.”
JC Dvorak writes the online blog, Dvorak.org. In it, he criticizes all things positive.
AND YET…
On July 25, 2007, JC Dvorak announces his love for all things Mackintosh.
Then, shocking the world, John C Dvorak announces the POWERFUL MESSAGE that he “GET’S NO SPAM!”
Penney, watson and Dvorak. One wonders!?!
Digital TV is cool but it sucks when the signal gets weak. No ghosting just gone. You need a outdoor antenna. But on the upside you get more channels from one station that’s cool. For example PBS channel 20 here in Chi’ is 20.1, 20.2, and 20.3. More channels and more programing even if it’s crappy might make me give up pay TV. Especially with movies and TV shows coming out on DVD so quickly now.
Microsoft and YAHOO! have already combined. This is all a stunt to hide the fact that they along with AOL and Newscorp will become a huge conglomerate. Soon your access to the i’net will be in fewer and fewer hands. Time to go back to FIDONET
I have worked out what it is with all the sound effects. They are dependant upon the weather.
When JCD says the weather is good, very few sound effects are added. When the weather is poor, we suffer the bombardment of cats miaowing, gunshots, film quotes, sily boing noises etc all through the webcast as though the only thing that can cheer John up is silly noises.
🙂
Who cares if the analogue signal is gone (apart from people in lower socio economic areas who still cant afford to upgrade from their black n white tv yet!)but people can still use their old tv’s, they will just need a set top box to tune into, and a better antennae and a strong signal too, dirt cheap they are, well the set top boxes are, my outdoor aerial cost the same as my tv and set-top box/tuner combined.!
Why arn’t people complaining about digital tv’s that do not have a built in tuner, they don’t even work now, two years wont make a difference, they still wont work without a separate tuner.
And why would you want a tuner in your tv anyway, you want the tuner separate so you can have more remote controls to loose, I am of course being sarcastic a bit here and there.
I personally want a separate screen/tv to my tuner (which ideally would be in a HD recorder / pvr) this of course would be separate to my surround sound amp and dvd player / sat tv. these days consumer electronic break quite often and having separate components ensures you can upgrade or switch out faulty parts.
Wouldn’t you cry if the tuner in your 6m widescreen plasma tv died and cost the earth to replace, now your tv remote has too many buttons and you need to buy a cheap set top box to fix the problem.
My mother still wants a tv a with one button. I go blue trying to explain why it is not possible. I ask her what she wants that “one” button to do, to turn the tv on? or to turn it off… and what about volume, or channels? i almost made her cry once.
quote “what is an av button? my radio doesn’t need one and i can use it fine, why cant the tv be the same” she says? god help her and others when failing eyesight is added to the technophobia.
