    frickin awesome goal… awesome

  2. Animal Mother says:

Of course, no-one watching on TV even saw the puck; they had to wait until the announcer said what just happened.

    Hockey…boring (YAWN)

  3. Jim says:

talk about a real bad looking goalie.. that is what they call a sieve…

  4. Ah_Yea says:

It sucks to be him right now…

  5. rectagon says:

#2 – Get an HDTV and then shutup or learn to watch the puck… and still shutup.
#4 – It sucks to be him over a week ago. I’d be happy to have his salary and let a goal like that in.

  6. JPV says:

Not so much a great shooter as it was a bad goalie. Looks like he actually help knock it in.

  7. Cursor_ says:

There are many goalies in football that have knocked the ball into their own goal.

This might be that if there was a reserve angle shot to make sure.

  8. GRtak says:

He made a mistake, that doesn’t make him a bad goalie, just human.

I have seen some strange goals, and this one isn’t any different. Strange happens, it is one of the things that makes life worth living.

  9. Peter Garner says:

The puck took a weird bounce right in front of him. Not much he could have done. The guy is actually a decent goalie; in fact, that was the only goal he let in that game. The Leafs won it 3-1 if I recall.

  10. dwright says:

Look at it close, originally I thought he just tried to glove it, but he does try to get his body in front also. Freaking thing spins left on him at the end.
In the history of the NHL lots of goalies get beat from the red line but this, ouch.

  11. Nathaniel says:

That’s why they call them the Maple Laughs.

  12. Matt Y says:

    Try being from Toronto. (sigh)

I will say though, Toskala is a great goalie. It was just a bad bounce.

  13. Canucklehead says:

I’m also from Toronto, and my wish is to see the Leafs win the Cup once more before I die….

Toskala is a great goalie, and he made some terrific saves later in the game. Too bad he never learned to play baseball. An infielder would have just knocked that baby down.

  14. Sinn Fein says:

He just didn’t see that one coming…wait he did…didn’t matter!

Hey, we ALL PhUCK up even when we see it coming…and, I still got married, go figure.

  15. Mr. Catshit says:

When I was a kid I played goalie. That was a tough shot as it took a bad bounce right in front of him. As the puck went down the ice it was bouncing badly. It shouldn’t have been. They freeze the pucks before the game so they don’t bounce.

  16. Sinn Fein says:

Maybe the puck was fine and it was the ice had that bouncing thing going for it, eh? 🙂 Seismic tremors?!
