George Fox, a friend and campaign contributor of New York Gov. Eliot Spitzer, said he was disappointed and distressed by a report that said Spitzer used his name as an alias when contacting a prostitution ring.
Fox, a hedge fund investor, said the discovery of his name in the sex scandal engulfing Spitzer “comes as a great surprise and disappointment.”
“There is absolutely no connection between Mr. Fox and the governor’s alleged activity beyond the unauthorized use of his name,” said a statement issued by a public relations firm representing Fox…
The New York Times reported on Monday that Spitzer had hired a $1,000-an-hour prostitute and was caught on a federal wiretap at least six times last month arranging to meet her at a Washington hotel where he used Fox’s name to rent the room.
“That’s what friends are for”?
This spitzer bloke is a fool, he should have used Eideard or Dvorak like I do.

Well damn… A Democrat in a sex scandal, finally. It’s a shame, really, that Democrats refuse to provide really juicy sex fodder, like soliciting for gay sex in airport bathrooms or sending mash notes to teenage pages.
We just aren’t as good at it as Republicans. With us its just more of the same old fashioned heterosexual sex with consenting adults.

#12, I wouldn’t be so sure that that’s what this case is. We’ll see as details come out, but the price being paid was awfully high.
