I haven’t tried writing in cursive in like 20 years. Is there a reason to be able to write all fruity??

I hope not.
Cursive is an anachronism and its time has passed.
Let’s focus on making sure our future generations can read, print, type, use proper grammar and spelling and that literacy is a value they pass on to their kids.
Whether or not they can scribble in cursive is not worth thinking about.
