This is the moving story of one family’s fight to save their desperately ill loved one.
Chris and Elaine Denny are planning to travel hundreds of miles and spend thousands of pounds in an effort to get pioneering cancer treatment for one-legged Eve.
And this is no ordinary tale of devotion, for Eve is a hen. Yes, that’s right, a chicken.
She will be treated for cancer in her one remaining limb at one of Britain’s top veterinary practices.
Your pet is a companion. Does species overrule?
Thanks, K B. I think.
“Does species overrule?” Well, maybe not species. But fried chicken for sunday dinner would surely be a consideration.
Hey, its their money!
My heart goes out to the hen and family. I pray for speedy recovery.
At the Poultry Cancer Institute, they have developed a successful treatment by using electromagnetic infrared radiation. Just 30-40 minutes of the treatment kills 100% of malignant cells. One doctor commented that the tumor “just falls off the bone”.
Other researchers are testing an overnight cure using only sodium nitrate and dextrose. One side effect is that these potent drugs can cause the chicken to lose all its feathers. There are some indications, and contrary to all human treatments of the disease, that smoking improves the appearance and longevity of the chicken!
I will operate on the hen for free.. I know of a good recipe for duck a l’orange
