Take a look a the ad that was displayed alongside the story about Right Wingers wanting to destroy Islam. I believe that the ad would only display for our U.K. readers.

Targeted ads? Oh Brother!

  1. Greg Allen says:

    Quick poll here:

    1) How often do you click on Google ads?
    2) Have you ever purchased something from such a click?

    Me:

    1) I may click one every few months.
    2) I don’t think I’ve ever bought anything from a Goggle ad.

  2. Dugger says:

My Google ad/poll says “Hillary 2008” with this topic.

    Hmmmmm?

  3. Marriage Broker says:

Now that’s just too funny on so many levels!! 🙂

  4. DdanB says:

Along related lines, I believe there is a booming industry in the UK for a new breed of religious conveience marriages, a variation on the old ‘Pink Pages’ where by a lesbian lady could find a gay male for a marriage of convenience. Now I believe it is to satisfy religious obligations.

  5. RBG says:

Yes, I’m as concerned as you are that such marriages can be viewed as the product of a racist personal philosophy, and can encourage harmful recessive genes to be expressed phenotypically.

  8. Olo Baggins of Bywater says:

    1) no
    2) no

You and I disagree on everything but we both don’t click on Google ads!

I seriously have to wonder why Google is valued so high.

Amazon, on the other hand, I buy from pretty often. A few others, once in a while. But Google? I just never click on their links.
