Yes, of course I know not all people on the right agree with this guy. But it’s interesting and important to see what the extreme right believes in in case a President starts to agree with these ideas. Here’s the dead guy’s website which is quite, um, interesting.

Anti-Islamic blogger commits suicide

A poster at Free Republic has discovered that a right-wing blogger named Ronald Barbour committed suicide on February 19. Barbour announced the planned suicide in a blog entry posted at his website on February 17. He said that the suicide would be to protest America’s failure to oppose the spread of Islam. Barbour’s views on what to do about Islam, as shown in another article of his below, were basically the same as my own: get Muslims out of the West, confine them to their own lands (he called his policy “quarantine” rather than “separationism”), and use military force to destroy any dangerous Islamic regimes but without occupying any Muslim countries. In addition to quarantining Islam as I would do, Barbour also, following the more hard-line position of David Yerushalmi of SANE, wanted to destroy Islam by destroying every sharia regime, whether or not it directly threatened us. Strikingly, Barbour understood that the problem is not terrorism, and the problem is not jihad, the problem is sharia. He said that any sharia-believing Muslim should be made to leave the U.S.

I wonder what would happen if mainstream, right-wing TV talking heads like O’Reilly started calling for this. Or for getting Jews or other non-Christians out of America?

  1. v says:

Nope, most of the right wing thinks we should just turn them into Christians.

  2. MrBloedumpSpladderschitt says:

Normal Islamics are fine. Those who would try to actually implement sharia law however definitely should be booted.

  3. tallwookie says:

    Good Riddance

  4. Counterpoint says:

I wonder what would happen if mainstream, left-wing political talking heads like Hillary Clinton started calling for this. Or for getting Jews or other non-Christians out of America?

  5. qsabe says:

Oh my gosh! I’m next, no one would accept my belief in Fairies under mushrooms or Tree Goddesses. But I know because I saw them while munching forest mushrooms. Hope they ship me someplace where mushrooms grow, not some big sandbox.

  6. Improbus says:

Or for getting Jews or other non-Christians out of America?

I am an Agnostic; I would like a ticket to Amsterdam please.

  7. Sinn Fein says:

Sharia law needs to be eliminated with extreme prejudice…one of the few times that prejudice is actually a good thing.

And as a small but important reminder, IF you are a non-believer, aka, an Infidel, Islamites will LIE their asses off to you about **everything** including Peace, Love and Understanding. This is done as a believer’s holy task designed to receive Allah’s great blessing for smiting and confusing the enemy…which is YOU.

Know this and learn to live by it.

  8. eaze says:

What a mug, thank god he killed himself.

  9. The Monster's Lawyer says:

    what a dumbass.

  10. Jack Flanders says:

There are INDEED crazy Muslims…and Christians, Jews, Hindus, etc. It would be nice to know some…well…facts. What % of Muslims (especially in OUR country) are radical right and follow Sharia law? Is it 39%, 12%, or .01%

Walking through Seattle over 12 years, passing millions of people, I’ve seen precisely ONE single woman with a full burka. Don’t know if she was visiting or lived here. But they sure aren’t exactly taking over Seattle. Maybe they’re massing in Iowa. But so far our country has more violent radical Christians (KKK, yes they DO still exist) that want to kill me than Muslims. Statistically speaking, I’m still far more likely to be killed by a Christian than a Muslim. If we’re going to convert people, we MUST convert them all to Buddhists. That’s by far far and away the least violent of all ‘religions’ if we must find some religion for the masses to follow. I’ve prefer we just grow up and stop believing in magical invisible sky gods that can’t be seen or proved.

  11. gquaglia says:

Hate to say it, but the world would be a hell of lot safer with out Muslims.

  12. sickofit says:

Shipping off the Muslims, brilliant. There are Crazy PEOPLE Period! Is there really a difference between Eric Robert Rudolph and Osama bin Laden? Both do whatever they want no matter how much it hurts people to achieve their own beliefs.

  13. chuck says:

What if you’re an American – lived here all your life, then decide to convert to Islam, and you decide you like Sharia law – where do you go then?

Wasn’t the U.S. the place to go to avoid religious persecution?

If you don’t believe in the flying spaghetti monster, then go back to Russia!

  14. ECA says:

    11,
    Umm,
and i can say the same for OTHER religions also..
Including Christians, Catholics, and MANY others..

  15. GregA says:

    #11,

You should protest the Muslims, by um… Killing yourself.

  16. Billy Bob says:

Well at least he has 72 virgins now. Or was it 72 cheeseburgers? Something like that.

  17. MikeN says:

So he killed himself while Islamics kill others. Even the lunatics act better.

  18. RBG says:

Stalin. Yes, of course I know not all people on the left agree with this guy…

    RBG

  19. Greg Allen says:

“Terror” and “The war on terror” is a conservative civil war.

Religion is not the core problem — it’s conservatism.

We liberal Jews, Christians and Muslims got no beef with each other. In fact, we get along just fine.

It’s the conservatives who are sworn blood enemies.

  20. Ah_Yea says:

Wow! This guy had paranoia down to a science!
Every Muslim was out to get him, couldn’t put an ounce of trust in a single one because each and every Muslim could kill you in a heartbeat, etc.
No wonder he off’ed himself, given the world he created for himself.

If we follow his logic, we truly would live in his horrific world because we, like him, would create it.

No thanks, I still believe that the vast majority of people are just regular joe’s trying to get from one day to the next.

  21. SInn Fein says:

Unfortunately, its the rank and file of the “regular Joes” of Islam, who, by their silence (enforced by the threat of their certain murder) are vastly helping the extremists in their quest to make our lives hell. In reality, the “regular Joes” don’t give a camel’s sh*t about what ever happens to the infidels…us, that is.

The next logical move would be to have a cold war with Islam whereby we would need to aggressively hunt down and kill their leadership by any means and wherever necessary…and to keep killing it lest it take root and spread directly into America.

Give this problem to the Mob, they’ll break Islam’s kneecaps since fanaticism is bad for business.

  22. Pete says:

    He sure showed them..

  23. bobbo says:

Yes, Sharia is an actual threat to our way of life–one that supporting our troops doesn’t address. Like #10–until the threat is “obvious” most people dont deal with the issue. Once it is obvious, it is often too late.

Luckily for the GOUSA, we have a few forerunners- it will be fun and informative to watch France then England deal with the same threat. I hope they show us the way and we act when the unobvious threat is easier to deal with.

Funny the right winger never saw that Patton movie—the idea is to make the OTHER GUY die for his dipwad beliefs==not yourself!!!

  24. Greg Allen says:

A couple of questions for you:

    1) When was the last time YOU apologized for something you had absolutely nothing to do with? You didn’t plan it. You didn’t finance it. You didn’t even know it was going to happen?

It’s absurd to expect average Muslims — who had absolutely nothing to do with 911 — to collectively apologize for it. It’s just not human nature. I don’t remember conservatives collectively apologizing when their fellow conservative Timothy McVeigh attacked America.

    2) How do you know “In reality, the “regular Joes” don’t give a camel’s sh*t about what ever happens to the infidels…us, that is.”

Have you taken a survey? How many do you even know?

I was living in Pakistan during the 911 crisis and I had a number of “Regular Joes” express their horror and disgust with that attack. Our Muslim neighbors were very helpful when we were ordered to evacuate on the eve of the Afghanistan invasion.

So, do you know something about “average Joe” Muslims that I don’t?

  26. TIHZ_HO says:

Or for getting Jews or other non-Christians out of America?

Well first up who are they really going to get out of the US? Christians are Jews…more specifically a Jewish Sect who accepted Jesus as their rightful king (“messiah” means king not saviour so that is wrong too not to mention “Christ” as well which comes from Greek meaning king).

    However…

Christians as we all know them, bible thumping jihad screaming and all, are in fact not true followers of Jesus rather they follow a twisted version of Jesus created by Paul (Saul) who never met or knew Jesus and was at odds with James who was Jesus’ brother and on top of that was not an even a apostle.

Paul took the liberty to freely graft various religious myths of the day unto the historical Jesus – shook well – and that is what we have now. This is not wacko alternative thinking either – this accepted by the Vatican and biblical scholars.

Jesus was a Jew of the Nazeran Sect, not from Nazareth as most probably it did not even exist at that time and his teachings as a Rabbi follow very closely to Nazeran thought.

Jesus was not his name, that is the translation to English from the Greek translation from Aramaic. Joshua would be the correct translation in English from Aramaic.

This goes on and on…Joshua was never born of a virgin on December 25th and so on…

The point is this. If these so-called Christians can’t even get their own ball right in the pocket how can they even point the finger elsewhere saying that’s wrong (ignoring the fact that they are Americans who have to shout to be heard over their loud clothes).

But if that wasn’t enough then from their own dogma they are told to be…what? Meek, and turn the other damn cheek. That part seems rather clear.

Well as much as I would love to go on I got a ton of work piling up…and its all the same as my other posts on the same subject…

    Play nice together… 😉

    Cheers

Tihz–great review as always. I’ve seen several website along the lines of “Everything you think you know about the bible is wrong.” There are several, seemingly supported by god believing folks. Over and over and over again, things we wish to believe in just aren’t so?

After our other discussion (which I just responded to), I am becoming more convinced each day that we do need to protect ourselves from those who would take our liberty. Hard to do when their weapons are “ideas” and even worse when those ideas are wrapped in religion.

So, by that reckoning, only conservatives were killed on 9/11 or is it that only liberals were killed on 9/11? Is that you are attempting to claim that only conservatives are fanatical unlike say the loonies that put nails in trees to stop them from being chopped down? Grow up. Fanaticism has nothing to do with conservatism nor liberalism.

I don’t know who uncledave is, but his grasp seems wanting.

  30. bobbo says:

#30–roemun==you should be banned or at least edited. Opinions are only worth the facts or ideas that back them up.

What specifically about Uncle Dave’s grasp is wanting in your opinion?
