How does this work? Is it clockwise or counter? The longer you look, the more confusing it is.

Slow day?
Poopheads! I’ve been drinking beer all day and I did NOT need to stare at that for a while trying to figure it out! 😉
It’s not moving at all. It’s just a sequence of images shown one after another. Persistence of vision may cause us to believe that the image is “moving” clockwise or counter-clockwise, but nothing of the sort is actually happening.
Mushrooms
hhopper – Those are great, but have you seen these?

The “Colour perception” is drop dead amazing! Grey and yellow are the same colour? Amazingly they are !
Cheers
[Those were excellent. – ed.]
Well, just focus on one dot at a time. You’ll notice each dot is part of a ring of dots “moving” at a constant speed. The outermost and innermost rings move clockwise. The middle moves counter-clockwise. Between these are graduated levels of speed either slightly faster/slower than the one before/after.
I prefer the spinning dancer (clockwise or anti)?
@2 If you didn’t drink beer all day we could call you something else.
I think I could have gone all week without seeing “Mindbender 2” from the link.
Now the walls keep breathing. Aaarrrgghhh!
#5, Tihz_ho, nice link. Did you see the link cagematch credited? Light green is dark green.

#6, the.arctic, That’s darned close. There are also some subtle position jumps where dots move in and out of rotational “rings” that makes the illusion even more confusing. Good job.

Yes, I had a look – great stuff! I always loved the colour illusions from years in the sign business long ago. Some clients would drive you mad with wanting the colours “just right” so I would whip out one of these colour illusion tricks just to bend their mind for a while.
Cheers
Hopper, T-H, and Bubba,
I hate each of you guys.
A whole bunch.

I’d like to comment but seem to be having an acid
