Boy, you gotta Photoshop some clouds in there and move the tower off dead center.
Use the “rule of thirds” even for test photos?
Angel H. Wong – Just waiting for your comments. 😉
Cheers
Tomorrow’s picture will be better, which uses the ‘rule of thirds’. In regards to the clouds, London has 65 days of sunshine per year, so I’m glad that there aren’t any clouds in the picture.
#1 Hey bobbo,
I don’t know about your monitor but once I click on it twice, the rule of thirds goes right out the window – and the lack of clouds is no longer a material concern.
🙂
Tested on 3 monitors, looks great to me. Plenty of detail, contrast looks fine, edges look good. Possible noise due to further jpeg processing from photo to monitors, but nothing objectionable.
You didn’t tell us what kind of camera!
Canon PowerShot S5 IS. Now I’m waiting for my 8Gb SD card to arrive, should be soon.
Don’t try this in New York, or they’ll tase you.
Sure, no phallic symbol jokes but, then again, I’m not the one with an eye for big brick dick photos.
🙂
sure it’s tall, but it not very wide. and it’s the width that counts
Gasparrini – Getting a new camera is always fun! When first got my Canon Powershot G6 in 2005 everything was a photo op – drove my wife nuts! “Why are taking a photo of that?”
Nice to see Canon switched to SD cards from CF which the G6 has.
Does the S5 shoot video @ 24fps and as much as the card can hold? A grip I have with the G6 is can only do 15fps and no more than 30secs in one clip – maybe because of the damn CF card.
I assume the S5 has USB2.0 connection – thats why you want a 8g sd card. The G6 only had USB1.1 so downloading a full card larger 512mb downloading is coffee time! :/
Have fun!
Cheers
#10, It think it has USB 2.0, however, my notebook has an SD reader, so I just have to pop out the memory to transfer. The S5 can shoot video continuously until the memory card fills up. It records audio in stereo since it has both left and right microphones. It can shoot video at 640×480, 640×480 LP, 320×240 and 320x240LP (LP standing for long play, which I guess lowers the video quality). In regards to FPS, it allows you to chose which video format you want, PAL or NTSC, which I’m guessing will either set it to 30fps or 25fps.
I think that with 8GB I will have quite enough space.
I find it interesting that Sandisk is realising 32GB SD cards.
#11 Gasparrini Looks like my wife is getting my old G6 cause its time for me to move on up! 🙂
Yes, of course the SD card reader, I didn’t think of that!
With the S5 and a 8G or a 32G sd card (!) stereo audio and NTSC / PAL who is going to need a video camera any more? Why bother with it when the camera does it all?
When you get down to it video clips are all anyone really wants to do and watch, right? I know if I video 1hour of anything that’s a guarantee no one is willing to watch it, including me! Video clips are the go, don’t you think?
Cheers
#12 TIHZ_HO, you’ll want a video camera to zoom properly close… Those little camera are not able to zoom 30X…
#13 Theo – I know – my G6 zooms to 4x optical and I do have a Sony video with 25x optical zoom which I seldom use. I am not a zooming in and out guy however its not the same for everyone. 🙂
Then again if the trend continues why couldn’t cameras zoom to 24x optical? Right?
Then we will have the Apple iEye …
Cheers
SanDisk SD chips rock. Gasparrini, is that the new micro SD or the regular? I tried looking up the camera but couldn’t pinpoint specs.
#2 – TIHZ_HO – Angel H. Wong – Just waiting for your comments.
Might it something like… Size DOES matter… ?! 😀
#15, regular SD
