That’s cool but maybe not so cool for him after Apple bricks his iPhone on the next update.
Freebird Man
Twang!!!!
Brian May will master this in no time.
Then after the banjo software….
Deuling iPhones.
He must have spent a lot of time developing that. It’s unfortunate that he doesn’t seem to know how to play any music with it…
its crazy! dont cha think that they should have made the guitar first and then the iPod?
Sqeal harmonics and string bends are probably a bit difficult. Still, pretty cool.
LOL @ #2,
So worth the long lines and $600. Somebody work out a good macbook air guitar joke.
Great. Before long, people who don’t know the first thing about playing a guitar will be walking into their neighborhood cellular store to poorly play “Smoke on the Water” instead of their local music shop!
That aside, pretty cool! I wonder if it seduces the ladies as well as a real guitar?
Old news.
I heard about this at G4 before any of you old farts did…
WIth that in mind, FREE BIRD!!!
Opinion from an actual guitar player? You cannot play the thing, but you can learn guitar and chords on it if you are a beginner. Read why you cannot play it here..

Not sure of its merits but a cool toy app to play with or learn the basics.Great to see some original app development though…hope the creator
brings the world some more iPhone apps.
I am gonna side with Steve on this one… From all the little craplets I have seen for the iPhone, Steve was right to try and keep it locked down….
10-15 years ago now we did all this stuff on the programable microsoft PDA’s and this is pretty much why the PDA platform has been abandoned, and the whole smartphone segment is a non starter for non-virgins^h^h^h^h^h^h^hnerds.
What is next? iFlute? iDrums? iCaramba!
#16 – Hopefully the Female Organ.
Perhaps the Microsoft PDAs had crappy software written for them, but I have seen a WEALTH of really good shareware/freeware and commercial software written for the PalmOS that works great.
I think Jobs is right in not letting the iPhone be open without haveing some strict guidelines around this development.
If you can do THIS on an iPhone, I can’t wait to see what other really great apps can be done on this platform. (one that some of my friends and I have jokingly refered to as Newton 4.0)
#18,
No… you haven’t. It is only your youth and inexperience in the business place that makes you think you have…
Reminds me of a friend who was a musician with a pulpmill day-job. He made a five-fret guitar neck complete with strings so that he could practice left-hand fingering while on the job. Idle hands, idle mind. Which of course led to Mae West and “That a guitar neck in your pocket or are you just glad to see me?”
Rock on, Geeks!
