Well, of course it is, if that’s what you’re taught to believe. “Low”, “degenerate”… those are called “value judgements”… can you tell the difference between the subjective and the objective? The nice thing about science is that the way it works is independent of what we think about it. Evolution was in effect long before we were here, and it would still be in effect even if we weren’t around to observe it, theorize about it, or complain that it makes people seem unimportant.

I find it ironically amusing that religions preach at you on the topic of humility, while at the same time telling you that you are at the centre of creation, and there is a god who knows you exist and cares about you personally. (You’d think that any being with god-like powers would have more interesting things to worry about, than what you do in your bedroom.)

1) Since the Universe is only about 13.7 billion years, I submit your postulate about infinity of time is in error.

2) The probability of virtual particle production resulting in a particle of matter with a life measured in units larger than picoseconds is exceedingly small.

3) To suggest that each atom of even Earth’s biomass is the result of a quantum event, which event must occupy Earth’s volume (so small in comparison to the volume of the Universe) defies credulity.

4) The probability of these quantum particles produced in the exact proportions to comprise the biomass in even 13.7 billion years is so close to zero as to be unmeasurable. It’s not zero, but I have a much, much better quantum chance of walking through a solid wall.

4) Ever hear of Occam’s Razor? Which theory is more likely? Creationism via quantum particle production or evolution, especially when there is a great deal of evidence to support the theory of evolution and none to support a “quantum accident.”

There is only one person who loved us so much he died for our sins and that person was the perfect sacrificial Lamb of God, Jesus the Christ. There is one person who died, was buried, and raised on the third day and who sits on the right hand of the Father in Heaven making intercession for the saints…Jesus the Christ.

There is, however, two covenants in the Bible. The second covenant is between God and the Jews and Muslims (the children of Abraham through Sarah and Hagar)and IF they keep the commandments of God according to their covenant they will be saved in the end.

And, we are certainly not going through life fearing a non-existent God. When are you born again (accepting Jesus Christ as your Savior and Lord and being baptized for the remission of sins), you KNOW there is a God as he lives in your heart and manifests Himself to you. He is your healer, provision, comforter, and so much more. Are you afraid to give God a chance? If not, pray and ask Him to reveal Himself to you and, if you ask in faith really wanting to know Him, He will reveal Himself to you. I pray you will seek Him before it is too late for you. Hell is not a pleasant place and there are at least a million people that have had near-death experiences who have either gone to Heaven or Hell and can testify to its reality. These are true-to-life witnesses to the truth of God’s Word. Your spirit man is eternal and it will either spend eternity in Heaven with a kind and loving God who loved you so much He died for you or in Hell with the devil and his demons who are driving you right now to disbelieve there is a God. Whom will you serve? As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.

jccalhoun, there are people who call themselves Christians who are not Christians. Christians believe the Bible and the Bible says “(Gen 1:1 KJV) In the beginning GOD created the heaven and the earth.”

If a so-called Christian does not believe the Bible and what Jesus the Word said, how can they be a Christian because the Word is what our lives are based on.

Gary, I feel great pity for you that you somehow have been led to believe that God is an evil god. He is a just and righteous God full of love, forgiveness, and mercy if you will but call on Him. Yes, He will bring judgment down on the disobedient but he is full of mercy not wanting one person to perish. He wishes above all things that you will prosper and be in health even as your soul prospers. And, yes, Jehovah God IS the only god on the menu and all the others are false. God IS love and He sent His only begotten Son, Jesus the Christ, to die on that stake for our sins to prove that He is love. (John 15:13 KJV) Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.

I will be praying for you all that you will seek God while He may be found. I pray he manifests Himself to each one of you in a powerful way. You may say you do not believe but the Bible says (Rom 1:18 KJV) For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;

(Rom 1:19 KJV) Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath showed it unto them.

(Rom 1:20 KJV) For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:

(Rom 1:21 KJV) Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.

So ALL men know there is a God from what they see around them that God has created for them. If you will be honest with yourselves, deep inside you there is something missing and that something is a relationship with the true and living God.
