Dad sells son’s 90-dollar video game online for more than 9000 – news.yahoo.com: After catching his 15-year-old smoking pot, a father sold the hard-to-get “Guitar Hero III” video game he bought his son for 90 dollars for Christmas at an online auction, fetching 9,000 dollars.
The sale took place after the father spent two weeks searching for the video game for the Nintendo Wii gameboard.
“So I was so relieved in that I had finally got the Holy Grail of Christmas presents pretty much just in the nick of time. I couldn’t wait to spread the jubilance to my son,” the father wrote on the eBay website.
“Then, yesterday, I came home from work early and what do I find? My innocent little boy smoking pot in the back yard with two of his delinquent friends.”

Of course, an argument could be made that the kid is a delinquent because he plays video games, not because of bad influence, since we all know that video games are responsible for this situation.
Oh, brother.

I understand your comment – I think but I’m confused as to the purpose of the comment.

Are you against a parent exercising discipline?
It seems prudent not to reward illegal behavior. Whether its a video game, driving priveledges, grounding, etc.

Hopefully the father can use the money to give them some productive time together as a family.

  2. eaze says:

that kid should be sayin “fuk you dude!”

  3. Steve-O says:

He could use the money to start up a marijuana drug trade in the neighborhood. Evidently there is a market for it.

    $9,000 for a $90 game. Are we sure it wasn’t a scam bidder? I mean maybe $200-300 but $9,000??

Ha ha, a lump of coal.

“Are we sure it wasn’t a scam bidder?”

That’s my thought, good luck collecting that 9 grand!

  6. J says:

    The racist bastard.

  7. J says:

Once again someone is being a dick wad. #5 was not posted by me.

  8. bwaymark says:

I’ve just bought the same game from my son. Haven’t caught him smoking pot or anything, but if anyone wants the game I’ll sell it to you for a bargain $1,000….. (I am sure he’ll understand, especially if I give $1000 for Christmas instead….)

  9. Steve-O says:

#6 J (The real one) – #5 is probably some fucktard that cannot even pick his own letter to go by.

Evidently he also thinks that either selling a video game or smoking pot puts you into some other race, homo smokus cannibus maybe.

  10. RockOn says:

Neither #6 or #7 is me, but #5 is.
    What’s your point?

  11. Ron Larson says:

$9K? I call BS on that. I bought a new GH3 package this weekend for $100 plus tax.

Damn… if I can even triple my money, then I will sell it. I had no idea they were rare or something.

Ya, the War on Drugs is working. Good luck with that War on Terror thing.

I expect all eBay sellers are going to start coming up with interesting back-stories for their wares. Whether they’re true or not.

  14. OhForTheLoveOf says:

    Christ man… what’s the big deal? It’s just some pot… 🙂

  15. Rick says:

IMHO it’s ok to smoke pot-AFTER you have achieved something like graduating.

  16. Mister Catshit says:

    #6 & 7,

    popular name.

  17. Angel H. Wong says:

    Who says crime doesn’t pay?

  18. Mark T. says:

It has to be that the bidder left out the decimal point and meant to bid $90.00. I give that guy 0% chance to collecting.
