The New York Public Library is displaying an unusual set of photographs: images of Bush administration officials doctored to make them look like police mug shots.

The half dozen pictures were created by two Brooklyn artists, Nora Ligorano and Marshall Reese, as part of a privately financed exhibit called “Line Up” in the main library building on Fifth Avenue.

Also in the mug shot gallery are images of Vice President Dick Cheney, Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, former Bush adviser Karl Rove, former Attorney General Alberto Gonzales and former Defense Secretary Donald H. Rumsfeld…

Matthew Walter, spokesman for the New York Republican State Committee, said: “It is simply inappropriate to have political attack in the form of egregious doctored photographs of the president and other high-ranking officials who have dedicated their lives to public service in a taxpayer-funded building frequented by schoolchildren and the general public.”

The dork left out “motherhood and apple pie”.

Here’s the whole gallery of thugs.

  1. Li says:

There are certainly Democratic politicians that belong in this line up, for our current war crime (setting aside our history of them). I would start with Jay Rockefeller, who as head of the intelligence committee has done nothing but aide and abet the torture, the misappropriation of funds (i.e. mass theft), while doing everything he can to cover up the crimes of the past five years. The latest incident where he meekly allowed the CIA to plainly and clearly destroy evidence and obstruct justice is more evidence of this.

I would add Pelosi too, but I tend to think that she should merely be removed from office and shamed away from any sort of politics ever again for abrogating her constitutional duty to impeach felonious office holders, despite the plainly evident fact that we have scores of criminals robbing us blind, murdering millions, and destroying the national character and reputation from their positions of high office.

  2. Rick says:

No kidding soundwash, I’m sure ol’ Dubyu got a giggle out of it, why should it be a problem for anyone else?

  3. Chris says:

“dedicated their lives to public service”
That’s a good one after they treated the country like their own person ATM.
