If I got as far as the bridge and planned on jumping, I’d consider the dead emergency phone a positive sign that I was doing the right thing!

My brother was in the Coast Guard. He lived at Fort Baker, on the north end of the GG Bridge. They are the ones that would have to find the bodies of the jumpers in the water. One time we were on his boat when a jumper leaped off the north end of the bridge and hit the rocks instead of the water. What a mess. It was gross.
They need one of these phones at the marriage stores in Vegas.
At least you won’t need “training” since it’s not a cell phone.

Consicering the recent Mall shooting in Omaha. They could use something like this (working) at Malls and schools, were depressed youth are likely to gun down people and then oft themselves. Why should bridges be the only place? Because shopping Malls are private property? They’re still open to the public. So laws like Fire Safety, still apply.
I’m not sure I will ever understand the logic someone attempts to apply before they perform actions like the mall shooting, Virginia Tech or any of the tragic and senseless shit that I have witnessed over the last few years but, why can’t someone sign thse fuck-heads up for Iraq ? Throw 50lbs of plastic on ’em and have them walk into a terrorists’ bunker ?
#17 I wish I understood why people think humans can act logically. Rationality is an elusive concept. Jumpers know this. One minute we grasp Truth only to have it change into absurdity the next.
Of course you are wrong. No, we should not strap bombs on the volatile. If anything, we need less herd-mentality, empiracist rationals willing to kill for money on bad faith.

All the insensitive answers here are a sign of the times….proof that society just does’nt ‘get’ it…..
You can only understand what you can see….
Anorexia is just another form depression takes…but since you can actually ‘see’ the body disappear….you accept it as ‘real’ ….but if someone has a form that is not measurable in some way….you make jokes….or ignore them when they try to tell you…….I guess I’d rather be depressed….its better than being dumb…..
Theres hope someday I’ll recover…..Dumb is forever….
