Clinton digs into Obama’s kindergarten musings; Obama starts tracking ‘Hillary attacks’ – On Politics – USATODAY.com — This is a joke, right?

Campaigns routinely dig up things opponents have said or written to accuse the other guys of being hypocrites.

We don’t recall ever seeing one side use something the other person wrote while in kindergarten, but it’s happened now.

Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton’s campaign has used words attributed to Sen. Barack Obama from when he was a kindergartner — and from when he was in third grade — to accuse him of “rewriting history” when he says he hasn’t been planning for a long time to run for president.

    Bla bla bla bla

Richardson is the qualified candidate. Richardson is who we should be paying attention to. But since the media is anointing the leaders so they can have a horse race to cover, most people don’t even know who Richardson is.

The media needs to start being a source of information and quit trying to manufacture the news. I don’t think Clinton or Obama would have any of this stuff wrapped up so tight if the media weren’t gift-wrapping it for them.

    Desperation.

  3. MikeN says:

Oh, they also mentioned a 3rd grade experience too, so clearly this wasn’t a one-time thing!

  4. MikeN says:

This is all moot, since as I’ve read on this blog many times, the 2008 elections will be cancelec by Bush so he can stay in power forever.

  5. echeola says:

Doesn’t every kid want to be president, a fireman, and astronaut?

Hillary is desperate and I can’t wait till this backfires on her.

  6. Mister Mustard says:

Hillary looks like an asshole from the headline, but as usual, things are seldom what they seem from the headlines.

If you actually read the link in USA Today to Hillary’s web site, she lists three more relevant instances in recent times when Obama said he wanted to be president:

    1. 15 years ago, Senator Obama told his brother-in-law he was planning to run for President.

    2. His law school classmates say that Senator Obama has been planning Presidential run for ‘more than a decade.’

    3. Immediately after joining the Senate, Senator Obama started planning run for President.

But really, who gives a fuck about how long he’s “been planning to run for President”? Aren’t there more critical issues facing the United States in the upcoming decade than how long some guy wanted to be president?

  7. Angus says:

More proof that the Clintons campaign on a level that most people could not imagine. And, they’re that darn good at it.

  8. BillM says:

Here is a quote from a recent interview with Romney.

“Well, you know, I know it sounds self-serving, and it is, but what you ought to do is vote for somebody that’s not a politician. I’ve only been in politics four years, not long enough to become badly infected. I’m in this race because I have experience through having been in the private sector and then having run the Olympics and being a father and a husband, I’ve experienced what it takes to bring America back on track. I heard from a friend in New York who said what concerns me about America today is that politics has become a profession, not a duty. And for me this is not my profession. It is my duty.”

I’m not sure Romney is the right person for the job but I am sick of these people who seem to have had their eye on the White House since they were in prep school.

  9. Gary, the dangerous infidel says:

After Clinton’s opposition research staff finishes interviewing Obama’s classmates from those early years, I think we’re finally going to get the hard answers to some critical character questions…

    1) Did he take cuts in the lunchroom line from other kids, or did he go to the end of the line and wait his turn?

    2) Did he ever tease or pull the pigtails of the girl who sat in front of him?

    3) Did he show appropriate remorse for the time when he was caught shooting spitwads, or did he simply vow to never get caught again, all the while remaining a classroom scofflaw?

One thing is certain — if there’s dirt in his past, I’m sure we won’t be spared any of the fascinating details. One friend of mine even sent me an email pointing out that Barack’s middle name is “Hussein.” My friend found that quite disturbing and felt the need to share that important information. Stay tuned for more of the same.

forget Hillary and Obama, it would be nice if someone listened to Mike Gravel for once, he’s the only true democrat running.

Still doesn’t compare to Ron Paul :-p

  11. MikeN says:

Romney has been in politics forever. His dad ran for President, and he ran against Ted Kennedy in 1994. The only reason he’s not so much in politics is because he kept losing.

  12. MikeN says:

This is really a message from the Clinton Company, ‘don’t you dare go negative on us, because ouer staff knows everything.’

  13. MikeN says:

Just wait till the attack on Oprah.
