This is why I watch very little commercial television.

  1. Mister Mustard says:

    >>but do you know where i.e. [sic] Harare is?

Sure. It’s just north of Chitungwiza, northeast of Bulawayo, the capitol city. Everybody knows the big towns in Rhodesia, right?

some EU-members do not use the Euro as a currency.

  3. I wonder about the hoax aspect of this too. She says, “I thought Europe was a country.” This was a meta message since the EU is kind of a country in some sense. Why would she say that. Also as a connoisseur of JayWalking with hours of tapes of the segment there is a giggly vacant aspect to the dummies on the street that this chick does not exhibit. Something here is as fake as her top.

[She was an American Idol winner. – ed.]

  4. BdgBill says:

Proud to be an amerikin. Gob bless the USA!

This is not an act. I have personaly met women this stupid. I hope if I ever have a daughter she is ugly until 25 or so.

Of course there are men this stupid too, but they usually make up for it with some kind of useful skill such as Night Club bouncing.

I doubt there is any sort of inner monolouge playing inside her head other than “I’m Pretty!”

  5. MikeN says:

    >“Hungary… what kind of country is that?… I heard about Turkey”

That’s why I think this is staged.

  6. OhForTheLoveOf says:

#16 – Believe me, it’s not staged. If you want to see a good cross section of America and the generational differences in education, this little show will give it to you.

Oh it is to staged… but not in the sense that we usually mean when we say staged. These candidates represent a cross-section of the stupid section of the whole population. They are carefully screened to maximize the entertainment value of the show.

So, yes… she’s that dumb. But dumb is what they screened for, so no, she does not typify Americans or blonds.

#37 – This is not an act. I have personaly met women this stupid.

Have you ever met men that dumb? I’ll bet you have.

I’m not implying anything. I just want help you by making you aware of your subconscious misogyny.

  7. Marc says:

It may be staged but there are some very uneducated people here in the states. My wife was telling a co-worker she was from Maine. The coworker had no idea where that was and stated they didn’t know there were other states north of North Carolina.

Apparently everything else is Canadian…wait, you DID know Canada is north of the USA right?

  8. Rabble Rouser says:

Geeze, that woman is so dumb, that if she had two brain cells, she’d be pregnant!

  9. Joshua says:

#39…OFTLO…I’m not even sure they look for the dumbest to be on the show. A month or so ago they had that twit Clay Atkins, also an American Idol winner, playing for his charity and he actually has a brain. He went all the way to the million dollar question, then walked away with the money because he had no clue about the subject. So I think they pick them based on a possible entertainment value, smart or dumb.

#23…..As to the kid’s being child actors…..since they are the same kids on all episodes, they are to all intents and purposes, employees, so they must, by law belong to the actor’s guild, and must be paid scale at least. That would make them *child actors* without their ever having acted. And even if they work as full time actors, they are still in the grades appropriate to their age. Professional actors or not, they are as smart or dumb as anyone else their age.

    #32….Mustard….What’s Rhodesia??? 🙂
