Poor Anti-Pirates: E-mail About Leaked IFPI Email Gets Leaked
The infamous anti-piracy organization IFPI sent an email to warn its members NOT to any send email to colleagues that use an xxx@ifpi.com email address because that domain is now owned by their rivals from the “International Federation of Pirate Interests”. Unfortunately the members did not listen, and even the email about the leak leaked.

Several people were wondering how this email leaked, and rumors about hacked mail servers started to circulate. It now now becomes clear how the email leaked – and there is not much hacking involved – it seems that some of their members were still sending emails to xxx@ifpi.com addresses – not that smart.

#6 Patrick Norton, the guy with the sledgehammer does *NOT*, and never has had anything to do with Norton utilities, or Symantec for that matter.
Also, it goes without saying that lawyers in technology are lost. I bet 1/3rd of their email is printed by assistants and handed out.
I find it funny, that MAYBE, 10% of the USA has enough knowledge to deal with a computer, fairly well.
ANd that MOST of us dont have jobs, typing emails for the other 90%..
I have emails sent to me, from a few people, and MOSt just hit FORWARD and send to Everyone I know.
After its hit 3-5 persons, I have a LIST of all those emails that they were SENT to…NO ONE erased them in the FORWARD.
Iv seen lists of hundreds of names..And the email is a small Joke/comment, that takes up about 10% of the email..
I understand that many of you have a few Years of computer knowledge and maybe some expertise…
And teaching something that takes you 2 seconds, Takes hours of training to OTHERS.

I remember when CUT AND PASTE wasnt an EASY OPTION.. it was called BACKSPACE..
The bad rap the French President is getting, about cutting the Internet if you do file sharing of copyrighted material.
Three strikes and you’re cut off from the Internet.
At least this protects the individuals, innocents, from being dragged into court and having to pay fines.
