I wonder how many of our readers have been in the same position…

  1. ECA says:

    thats a 40 pound turkey…
    WHY…
Is she trying to feed the WHOLE neighborhood??

No, it’s just a commercial. They do things like that in commercials sometimes.

  3. ECA says:

    Jpv,
I know but even a 10 pound would last them almost a week. and after the soup, and nice salad, alot of sandwiches, and reheating, you get REAL tired of it.

  4. D Huber says:

One thing you’ll notice is the bird that goes out the window is about half the size of the one she deals with inside. I guess they didn’t want to kill the poor guy.

    Like i said… it’s a commercial.

You should get out more often.

  6. dm says:

The camera adds about ten pounds, so the turkey is really only about 30 lbs.

  7. bac says:

The size of the turkey may be a bit small. This is America which is the overweight capital of the world. So that turkey may only feed about four people.

  8. tallwookie says:

lol!!! great find!! damn that was funny

  9. morram says:

Are we sure this isn’t filmed in Australia and they’re using an ostrich?

  10. hal says:

The turkey that hit the guy looked like it was made out of paper mache!

I know it’s just a commercial, but in any story there’s a thing called “continuity”!

Being a video producer I guess I’m too picky.

  11. OhForTheLoveOf says:

Number whatever – The camera adds about ten pounds, so the turkey is really only about 30 lbs.

    Bwahahahahaha… That’s good…

I really don’t like these type of commercials. Its just a slicker version of the Ronco style commercial where they ask, “Does this ever happen to you?” and show some actor pretending he can’t operate a can opener or a fishing reel or a broom… before showing you some contraption designed to take an easy task and add a gadget to it.

As dumb as we all can be, no one is that dumb.

On the other hand, seeing a guy clocked by a turkey is funny.

  12. J says:

I laugh every time I see that commercial.

  13. Joshua says:

Food economist’s tell you that buying a turkey of 10 pounds or less is a waste of money. The bone weight to meat ratio makes it uneconomical and expensive.
With my family ECA, we would still have to add a 20 pound ham and standing Rib roast to the menu, plus all of the various side dishes.

    But, this ad is funny.

  14. Pete says:

#9 Ostrich in Australia? I think that you got the wrong continent.. Maybe an Emu…
