I don’t know if its the same guy but back in the 90’s when I first got the internet, yahoo magazine did an article on this.
I think that’s how you make a Pittsburgh style steak… Burnt on the outside, rare in the center. Usually cooked this way by demented engineers and techy-types.
Anyone who’s into huge flames and explosions can’t be all bad.
Just think of all the greenhouse gases that released. Cool!

It is indeed the same video that’s been around since the WWW was a baby… I saw it come up “new” on Reddit the other day. He was featured on Bob and Tom in the mid nineties, and burned the grill in a public park in Indianapolis, I think.
