At Victoria’s Secret in the Cumberland Mall, you can buy five pairs of panties for $25. But Vineland police said somebody pinched 50 pairs Monday without paying a thing.
Police have no suspects and there were apparently no witnesses. It’s the second time this year that the same store has been at the center of a probe into dozens of pilfered panties.
It’s the second time this year someone has swiped a large amount of panties from the same Victoria’s Secret store. In March, 80 pairs were stolen. No one was arrested.
It’s unclear if the thefts are connected to similar incidents earlier this year at Victoria’s Secret stores in North Jersey, Kentucky, New Hampshire and Tennessee.
The store has no surveillance cameras.

I’m surprised they forgot to mention the guy who tried to steal copper off of some of the live equipment at the local electric company. Dumb ass knocked all our power off for like the better part of an entire night when he electrocuted himself. They wound up finding him at some school and apparently he told the cops that he was working on his cable TV at home and hurt himself. 🙂

Victoria’s secret needs to learn from Homeland Security and Chicago, NY, and London. The solution is to put camera in all the stores including the dressing rooms and put the feeds online so people can spot criminals.

No security cameras? Why, so they couldnt get sued by women trying on their lingerie?
I remember way back in the day I was working on a reconstruction project in the Sears store at a local mall – and they had security cameras all over the place of course – but then these idiots also had this map in the breakroom, detailing, in color coded push-pins, where the latest thefts had occurred. It was fairly easy to deduce where the cameras werent due to the high number of colored pins…

They could always go to the outlet mall system, where if you want a certain panty, you must take a tag to the front and they will check with the warehouse in the back to see if they have the panty in stock.
Its such a lascivious name, panties. Why do men have “underwear” but women have the disgusting word “panties”? Its like they enjoy wearing sleazy sounding things.
