Verizon’s Voyager has a large touch screen with a very iPhone-like interface, but it also has features not available on the iPhone…The Voyager does include two features not available from Apple: a real keyboard and a fast Internet connection.
How much for an Apple logo to stick on it?
Cheers
What about the 3rd feature the iPhone doesn’t have?
It’s made by a company that knows first hand how to make a decent phone.
Oh and the 4th. It doesn’t have a iPod in it – That everyone and their sister already has.
But the iPhone is equipped with a Reality Distortion Field. Sorry, you just can’t beat that.
#2,
They must have learned a lot since they made my phone (VX5200) because it’s a piece of crap.
Too bad its on the Verizon network and they will cripple the hell out of it.
It will be about as successful as Microsoft’s iPOD killer – Zune.
What is a Zune? Exactly my point.
Does anyone know what is going on with Bootcamp? It is my understanding that with Leopard, Apple is planning on breaking boot camp and forcing users to Parallels if they want to access their windows partition.
It’s amazing how companies steal each others ideas these days with no shame at all. And then brag theirs is better….lol
I find it interesting that people think LG stole the interface. Since the LG Prada has the touch interface and it came out around year before the iPhone (not in US). I would say apple sole the interface from LG.
Even if people think this can be considered as a “copy” of the iPhone, more options for the end user is always good.
With the release of the iPhone, the rest of the cellphone companies will definitely try to surprise us with more and better features than ever before, trying to “hook” as much buyers as they can.
#10 wouldn’t be the first time…. Apple stole the Mac interface from the Xerox Star…
Kewl, can I get it unlocked so I can use it on AT&T? Don’t brick it Verizon!
That’s the ugliest iPhone protector case I have ever seen.
It’ll be nice to hear all the buyers of this phone crowing about how they can expand the memory, replace the battery, and hack it without worrying about LG releasing updates that “brick” it.
Endless posts about how stupid iPhone owners are, etc.
I can’t wait.
Well, if nothing else, the LG phone will push Apple to expedite development of the
iPhone V2.0iPhone Pro…#17 Good point for all buyers considering a new phone on its features verses buyers for the Apple logo.
Cheers
Seems to me that Nintendo could easily challenge the iPhone by adding camera and phone technology to a Gameboy.
It would hit a different but probably larger demographic than the iPhone and only cost a few bucks per unit.
