Donald Trump has some advice for President Bush if he wants a Republican to win the White House: Hide.
“I think President Bush has to go into a corner and hide if a Republican is going to get elected,” he said. “There is no way he is an asset. He is a huge liability, and he is going to have to do a big, big hiding act if a Republican is going to win.”
Trump also reiterated his comments to CNN in March that Bush is probably the worst president in American history, saying, “We’ve gone from this tremendous power that was respected all over the world to somewhat of a laughingstock.”
Trouble is – most of the world now considers the United States the greatest threat to world peace, as well. Not so laughable.
Perpetual war for perpetual peace: As long as we’re on top it’s a great plan.
War for peace is like fucking for virginity.
He should go work on his “ranch”. He should bring dead-eye Dick with him. Maybe they could go hunting.
The caption should really be ‘Après moi le deluge’.
Trouble is – most of the world now considers the United States the greatest threat to world peace, as well. Not so laughable.
But, our corporations make huge profits from war. So, we kill a few people. So, we destroy more of the planet than the dead would have had they been left alive. War is still really good for the likes of Haliburton. Isn’t that reason enough to blow people up?
The permanent Bad-Hair-Day man is a dick but not all together wrong about this.

Trump, a modern Oracle.
#8 – zn2336,
I thought Larry Ellison was the modern Oracle.
#2 – We all know you to be an expert on the later.
War is another form of ‘Birth Control’. Until we figure out a way to control the population of the ‘humans’ there will always be periodic wars… Wait till we run out of something really important like fresh water. or oil, or food, or O2, or farmland. Better stock up on amunition.
Any party that impeaches him, guilty for treason and ship him off for War crimes, would get elected…
Back when Bill Clinton was running for his 2nd term, the Republicans made the mistake of assuming they could run any candidate against him – and win – simply because the voters had enough of Clinton. So Bob Dole ran against him and got wiped out.
And when George W. ran for his 1st term, the Democrats thought he was an idiot, and that a smart guy like Al Gore could beat him. But they lost. (Or the election was stolen.) But Al Gore is a smart guy. He should have wiped the floor with George W. But he didn’t. He got 51% of the vote – which is not enough.
And when George W. ran for his 2nd term, the Democrats KNEW he was an idiot, and at least half the country did too, and another smart guy, John Kerry, thought he could beat him. But he lost.
In each case, the under-estimated their opponent.
The mistake Democrats are making now is that they are all running a campaign against George W. But George W. is not running in the next election. Neither is Cheney.
The winner of the next election will not be the person who thinks George W. is an idiot, or says George W. made a bunch of mistakes. The winner will be the candidate who says they know how to fix things, and can show they have a plan to do so. And that person could be a Republican.
Kind of like the “Charge Of The Light Brigade”; the Republicans will make a brave show, but none will reach the pinnacle. In other words, no way will a Republican be elected President, in this or perhaps even the next election. Unless, of course, the Democrats screw all the pooches, drop all the balls and run lemming style over the cliffs and into the sea. Which is pretty well their style, so we could well be heading into even more interesting times. Hell, even the Anti-Christ would be a welcome respite from the current crop of goofballs. At least we’d have our thousand years of peace, or something, I’m a bit vague on the theology.
I call bullshit. A moderate Republican stands an excellent chance at winning, if the cards fall right. Democrats can’t shake the radical left image. Regardless of what GWB has done, the majority of this country still embraces the core values of the Republican party. You don’t have to win elections anymore, you just have to keep from loosing them. Clinton will be a hard candidate to sell in several key states. Americans are looking for a wise intelligent candidate that will fix problems, not tear it down.
Can I say this or not…
1. the reps DONT WANT THE JOB…
There is such a MESS, that the next person in, in going to REAP all the crap that is falling.
Dont know IF’ the Demo want it either..THey know whats coming..
Every person running NOW is going to get HIT HARD. Trying to FIX what is broken, and getting NOTHING done. The NEXT president is a Scapegoat…Look at who is running.
2. This is going to be a REVERSE game…WHO can get the FEWEST votes and WIN… They are going to keep cutting votes and cutting votes… They are going to TELL their side to VOTE for the other guy..to INFLATE the votes and get someone into office, THAT ISNT from their team.
3. Rhetoric, Have you heard ANYTHING besides the Current NEWS from these folks? these folks are STILL going to need to fight the reps and congress, to get anything passed…The WELL PAID, Money BACKED, PREPAID…Idiots.
4. HOW many in these groups (that are running for prez) Have been POOR, and worked their way UP, and KNOW all the problems??
14 – Omar
DO NOT UNDERESTIMATE THE STUPIDITY OF THE AMEICAN ELECTORATE.
Reasons NOT to vote for the Democratic candidate:
a) She might be a woman – Oh horror
b) Bill Clinton might be back in the White House – Oh Horror of horrors.
c) The candidate might be black. – You know we can’t have that!
d) The Iraq war might be resolved via diplomacy, international effort, etc. – Unless we win by military might, the USA will lose face.
e) They might raise taxes – one the 5% that got an 8 year free ride.
f) We might seek energy real progress in energy issues – What about the oil company profits? As a stockholder, that will hurt wallstreet.
g) Science may become acceptable again – But superstition, ignorance and denial are easier to understand.
h) State and religion might be separate items – Not in the Christian Republic of the USA!
And on and on and on…
The list is extensive on why voting for a democratic candidate is a bad idea.
>>the majority of this country still embraces the core values
>>of the Republican party.
What’s are they? Hatemongering, hypocrisy, narcissism, gouging middle America, and war profiteering?
Did I leave out any of the Republican “core values”?
– I don’t think things will change too much after the Democrats get the White House. Too bad, big time.
– I do think that the present Administration *will* be prosecuted for crimes against humanity sometime in the future. Oh yeah, Bush doesn’t have a passport to be taken away so that’s ok.
– I think that the US economy will go further down the tubes due to this war. Thank Bush and his Administration for that and actually, that might be the nail that seals his coffin.
– If a Republican wins this next election, run for your lives because you’re not going to get out alive. It’ll be sad to watch the US become totally irrelevant in world events. You will be the pariah that Bush and his “God Bless America” administration worked so hard to achieve. I feel bad for all the good, normal Americans who will be screwed by this.
>>the majority of this country still embraces the core values
>>of the Republican party.
Then dont count the republicans or the democrats….AND make sure your study covers ALL sides…so that you may discern WHAT side they really ARE ON.
ha — if the dems put hillary on the ticket, the gop could run a lead brick and win.
even the most moderate republicans regard her with fear and loathing
keep her off the ticket and we will most likely have our first black president
#16 – You’re gonna vote for Hillary then I take it?

“And when George W. ran for his 2nd term, the Democrats KNEW he was an idiot, and at least half the country did too, and another smart guy, John Kerry, thought he could beat him. But he lost.”
Actually the Republicans were smart enough to let all those gay & lesbian marriages happen. They know they can condemn people to spend retirement rummaging through trash bins for aluminum cans in order to survive, they can deny their children access to a decent education and send them to a life in poverty; they can even send them to die at home or toss the injured to the streets because they are uninsured..
BUT if you promise them that they will never have to treat gays & lesbians as equals; everything I just said before will become blank noise and the suckers will go in droves and vote for whoever’s going to ruin their lives.

Here’s an facts:
The small nation of Nicaragua already had a female president and she had to clean up all the sh*t the Sandinistas did to the country, only for the same leader of the Sandidista movement who made the coup to be elected president.. So my take is that IF (and that’s a big IF) Hillary becomes president, she will do maid work and clean up all the mess just so a Republican gets elected again and again screw it all up.

“Can you imagine what the world would be if the average latin american posessed an intellect a bit closer to that of a human?”
For starters, Reggaeton music would die.
#18,
Wide stances in the public bathrooms?
“Pedro” says:
if the average latin american posessed an intellect a bit closer to that of a human?
If there was any more irony in that comment my head might explode.
#15. “Regardless of what GWB has done, the majority of this country still embraces the core values of the Republican party. ”
But very clearly not the Republican Party itself, which is viewed unfavorably by a solid 59% of Americans, and favorably only by 38%.

You guys are in the toilet, and the Democrats have taken the lead even in the national security category. Chew on that for a while, while the Republicans in Congress continue to blindly support whatever Dubya does.
Bush quietly advising Hillary Clinton, top Democrats

President Bush is quietly providing back-channel advice to Hillary Rodham Clinton, urging her to modulate her rhetoric so she can effectively prosecute the war in Iraq if elected president.
Oh, and are these the Republicans’ core values:
“Alan Keyes, a former United Nations diplomat, linked the fight against terrorism to abortion. He said the fight against killing is no different than the “fight against the killing of innocents in the womb. The killing is the same. The principle is the same.””
