Donald Trump has some advice for President Bush if he wants a Republican to win the White House: Hide.
“I think President Bush has to go into a corner and hide if a Republican is going to get elected,” he said. “There is no way he is an asset. He is a huge liability, and he is going to have to do a big, big hiding act if a Republican is going to win.”
Trump also reiterated his comments to CNN in March that Bush is probably the worst president in American history, saying, “We’ve gone from this tremendous power that was respected all over the world to somewhat of a laughingstock.”
Trouble is – most of the world now considers the United States the greatest threat to world peace, as well. Not so laughable.
Apparently Bush has been advising Hillary on national security. She has already refused to commit to taking troops out by 2012, at least two years longer than an orderly withdrawal would require..
#33,
Hahahaha, are you really using support for a war that you support as a smear against your opponents?
ROFL.
Things must be really bad over there.
Canadian politics is so…. so boring by comparison.
I’m going to vote for Hilary Clinton in the upcoming provincial election.
#30 Stars and Bars –
Bush quietly advising Hillary Clinton, top Democrats
That’s according to Bush himself.. but is there anyone listening to him.
FWIW – I wrote an email to Bush advising him on how to end the war. I guess that makes me a Bush advisor.
And the most interesting piece of ‘advice’ from Bush to the Democrats (which he admits will win the Presidency, and the full Congress)… “Please don’t embarrass me by fixing the war right away. Stay the course and prove that my vision is the correct one. Please don’t embarrass me like Reagan did to Carter with the Iran hostage release. Please, pretty please.”

She has already refused to commit to taking troops out by 2012,
Of course she will not commit to that. She knows that it will take many many years to fix the utter disaster that the Bush mis-administration has produced in Iraq. Heck, the Bush mis-administration called for a full pullout 8 months after the start of the war, remember???? The question would be if she is going to have combat troops or support/stability troops. There is a big difference. All we can guarantee under further Republican leadership is more dead troops, and zero progress towards solving this “war”.
Interesting to note in the PDF file that India wasn’t offered Pakistan as a possible threat to world peace. Either that or it simply was not included in the report.
#34, I was responding to the actual post about Bush going into hiding. He’s apparently been advising the Democrats, and I would say Hillary’s refusal to set a timetable is indicative of that.
My guess is Hillary may be more of a war supporter than Romney, and maybe on par with Giuliani and McCain, who have the same angry, controlling mindsets. I think Hillary would lead to war with Iran. The Republicans simply do not have the ability to start such a war unless they did so without Congress’ approval. So it would take a Democrat President to make it happen as they could get the 60 or so Democrat votes needed to make it happen. I don’t think it’s a coincidence that so many prominent neo-cons seem to be pushing a Hillary candidacy.
d) The Iraq war might be resolved via diplomacy, international effort, etc. – Unless we win by military might, the USA will lose face.
e) They might raise taxes – one the 5% that got an 8 year free ride.
f) We might seek energy real progress in energy issues – What about the oil company profits? As a stockholder, that will hurt wallstreet.
g) Science may become acceptable again – But superstition, ignorance and denial are easier to understand.
h) State and religion might be separate items – Not in the Christian Republic of the USA!
Keep dreaming on that list. I’ll grant you it’s possible with Barack Obama or John Edwards, but Hillary’s been playing religious left for awhile. She made 100K in commodity trading; I don’t know of any specific oil company ownership that she has like Al Gore, but my guess is she will profit. I’ll grant you the tax hikes. Iraq or anything else being handled diplomatically is not very likely from Hillary, McCain, or Giuliani.

Jesus H. Christ, that is the best line I’ve heard this week. Bush has someone advising him.
Hahahahaha
🙂

There is a village that misses you.
Yeah, and I suppose you thought the Democrat Congress would pursue impeachment and withdraw from Iraq too.
In January 2009 the village (Crawford) in Texas will be getting it’s idiot back!
