PinkNews.co.uk writer – 29th August 2007 14.00:

One in four women would consider having sex with another woman according to a new online survey of the nation’s female sex lives.

Ninety-one per cent of the women questioned described themselves as either heterosexual or straight in the survey, but 26 per cent admitted that they would consider having sex with a women, or that they had fantasised about it.

The results of our survey throws a whole new light on modern women’s sex lives, with more and more heterosexual women admitting that they want to expand their sexual experiences beyond blokes.

cmon, you can do better than that pic, u know some ppl will come just to see what pic goes with this story, and this was disappointing.

  2. Dorksters says:

From my somewhat limited sample size, I would estimate that 33% of women would entertain a physical relationship with women, and maybe 66% have thoughts about it.

    Same percentages for men.

    ick.

  3. TIHZ_HO says:

And the BBC is behind it.

  4. #2 – Dorksters,

Actually, Dorksters, I’m betting that for men, only that very small percentage of individuals who are 100% gay have not fantasized about lesbians. ๐Ÿ™‚

  5. #4 – Me,

I should add that the percentage of men who are 100% straight is probably equally small. Though, I expect that finding out the number who’ve fantasized about other men will be more difficult than with women since the stigma against it is stronger in our society and homophobia abounds.

  6. bobbo says:

The study as reported in the referenced material cannot be relied upon. Fantasizing about same sex escapades doesn’t mean you would do it. Submitting to a threesome to satisfy your partner is not evidence of gayness.

Let me admit to considering a gay relationship. and let me tell you the truth==I’m not interested, but I considered it.

In fact, I think the study is false, and perpetrated by over (meaning normally) sexed males who want to inject themselves into a three-way.

  7. Lauch says:

Here’s the thing that all of you men with girlfriends/wives need to know. Regardless of how many women admitted to being bi curious in this study, none of them are your significant others. (unless you’re a lucky man and if that’s the case, she’s probably already told you)

SN, you always seem to have a common theme in your posts. ๐Ÿ™‚

So you are saying that 33% of men would entertain a physical relationship with a woman and 66% have thoughts about it?

    I don’t know. Seems highly unlikely ๐Ÿ™‚

I’m very attracted to Mister Mustard. I admit it. I love him as only a man can.

  12. bobbo says:

I do recall the day in High School I learned that there was such a thing as gay men. My response was – – – – – – – – – happiness. More women for ME!! I wished the whole world was gay. Don’t wish them any ill will at all.

Then, a week later, I learned girls could be gay too!!! Now, thats just wrong!

  13. Mister Mustard says:

    >>Iโ€™m very attracted to Mister Mustard. I admit it. I love him as

Oooh, could we possibly be seeing posts in the future from Mrs. Mustard?! Or are you one of those libbers that’s going to keep your maiden name?

  14. TIHZ_HO says:

#13 Mister Mustard, a ‘Mrs Mustard’ would be Gay while a ‘Mrs Ketchup’ would not? : /

    Cheers

  15. OhForTheLoveOf says:

#13 – What do you mean? The real question is are YOU going to keep your name ๐Ÿ™‚

    I’ll let you hyphenate…

Mister OhForTheLoveOf-Mustard has a nice ring to it…

I’ve always thought UK and Australian women lacked feminine looks, so I guess this might explain it.
I also noticed that commonwealth men (Canada) don’t seem to treat their women well enough to keep them around. Another clue?

Anyway, you go for it girls. Some people ask “Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?”, but I ask “Do Lesbian Anglo-Saxon Descendants Dream of being a Woman with Good Teeth?”

  17. #5

Amen! That’s why booze loosens them up.

i had my 1st opportunity for lesbian sex when i was 18.i didnt initialise it,she did-a sexy 16 yr old who knew how to turn me on to girls.it was sordid, dirty yet strangely comforting and warm.after that i wanted more although i dont go looking for it.i dont have to because there are many girls out there inwardly aching for sex with a woman and when such girls pass each other by just a certain look is enough,no need for words, and its going to happen.it seems we women just know when another girl is up for it. xx mandy
