Juuuusssst a bit outside. I’d say the ump needs to ask Jobu for another refill.
That’s the most interesting baseball clip I’ve seen in many years – and there’s no way that pitch was even close to being a strike.
Would that still would have been considered a legal pitch? Baseball could get real interesting…
Cheers
Based on the fact the stands were empty I would say this was staged….pretty cool all the same.
Um…. the whole thing was fake, I hope you know. There’s are no fans there. It’s a setup to show the pitch. Calling it a strike was the punchline. If the fake umpire had called the fake pitch a ball, would it be half as funny?
Well, since I find this not to be funny (or frankly, interesting) as it is, I guess the fake ump could call the fake pitch a fake ball……. Would be no less funny for me.

I believe that could be a legal pitch. Hands broke, and he made a delivery. Only question is whether that league allows a pitch to come from behind the back. Many rule books do not allow such a pitch, such as ASA softball. However, other rule books, such as USSSA, do allow pitches to come from behind the back.
