Ya just don’t interfere with FOHs (friends of Halliburton) and FOC (friends of Cheney). Whaddya think this war is about — war? Haha! Ah, to be young and naive again…

Whistleblowers on Fraud Facing Penalties

One after another, the men and women who have stepped forward to report corruption in the massive effort to rebuild Iraq have been vilified, fired and demoted.

Or worse.

For daring to report illegal arms sales, Navy veteran Donald Vance says he was imprisoned by the American military in a security compound outside Baghdad and subjected to harsh interrogation methods.

There were times, huddled on the floor in solitary confinement with that head-banging music blaring dawn to dusk and interrogators yelling the same questions over and over, that Vance began to wish he had just kept his mouth shut.

    Nothing new.

Fraud is relatively easy to catch and punish if not prevent in the first place. When fraud continues or is widespread, its because it is driven from the top.

The top. Like Congress and the Whitehouse. That kind of top.

  2. mxpwr03 says:

    I would hope so.

  3. Cinaedh says:

    This is grotesque.

Not only are the Congress, the Senate and the White House occupied by organized criminal enterprises, the military and the mercenaries are now in the business of destroying the friends of the citizens of the United States and rewarding the enemies of the citizens of the United States.

Impeachment is just too much trouble unless it’s about a quick blowjob in the White House? We truly live in Bizarro World and there doesn’t seem to be an exit in sight.

I don’t know if you watch the loony cartoon show called South Park but I think I’m going to have to copy Eric Cartman and freeze myself until after the election, then hope things start to make more sense to me.

Then people WONDER, Why many dont vote.

I think it is VERY entertaining, that as Children we are FORCED into this Web, of…
    BE NICE to each other.
    be fair
    Be Honest
    Be truthful
From Church to TV and PBS.(KILL BARNEY)

and when we grow up…what do we see?
that Lieing, cheating, Mis-direction ALL make you RICH.

I think we need RE-EDUCATION camps for Gov and BUSINESS.
(Barney 24/7/365 strapped in a chair, until they can sing EVERY song with a Smile on their faces)

Since we can File against the corps, LETS reverse it…And file against the GOV for Participating in the cover up.

This is why other countries get tired of hearing the same old rhetoric of how the US is the perfect model for everything. 😉

  10. Lost says:

I hate not only the US Administration but the process of keeping them in power. There are a lot of nice people in the US, we all know that, but they are being duped in a way unprecedented in history. The really sad part of it is that the people, who have the power (I know what some of you are going to say and I hope you do), are not doing one little bit to change things. I cannot express that hard enough. You are all lost. Goodbye.

  11. Jerk Bosses says:

Sounds like general enron style management.
How come the real troublemakers aways seem to get away with corruption wheras the average person gets stopped by red light cameras ?

  12. Greg Allen says:

How many more outrageous stories like this do we need in order to start impeachment hearings? This administration is corrupt and rotten to the core.

  13. Mr. Fusion says:

    #2, chcknhwk03,

Of all the people here, YOU have been trumpeting how well things are in Iraq. Reading the article made me feel ill. Seeing you here is only continuing that feeling.

How many Americans died today because of the chicken hawk assholes like you?

  14. Steve Savage says:

You know this would have been cured if all you idiots voted in 2004.
Re-electing that male cheerleader moron reflects more on your competence as an American than it does on him as a president.

  15. ECA says:

    14,
    TRUE.
But, we have all seen what happens…
the East coast with ALL the population, GETS the vote.
Lets give each state 1 electoral vote. PERIOD.
And then you will see what the FARMERS say.

Farmers and rural areas are at a HEAVY disadvantage. We dont Crop together 100,000 people in 1 square mile. Lucky if you find an average of 1 per mile average.
From the East down to the Mississippi, then add Texas and califormia, and you have MOST of the population of the USA.
the populations of New york city and chicago would take up AT LEAST 2 states…
Those running dont even NEED to come to these states for votes, except for EXTRA votes and money.

12, it isnt JUST this one, its gone back ALONG way. the problem comes with LAWS and regulations they have imposed.. TRY to deal with These folks AS IF they were Famous, and send the poparatzi after them. IT WONT HAPPEN, they will be INSTANTLY arrested.
I HOPe to say that 1/2 are GOOD people. And I would HOPe we can get the checks and balances BACK and MORE enforced.
If nothing ELSE, ADD to the checks and balance.

Just come to Venezuela to learn how this situations are handled by the real serious guys.
Here a whistleblower is sent to jail within a week to face a never ending trial (or forced to escape the country), while the corrupt get commendations by the president himself on national TV.
At least USA knows its government ends on 2008, Venezuela’s changing constitution always seem to do so in order to keep the president in office.

  17. Noname says:

#14 Amen, couldn’t have said it better.

  18. Glenn E says:

    >>Then people WONDER, Why many dont vote.

Problem is, you aren’t allowed to vote for those REALLY running the gov. The pentagon top brass and their major corporate sponsors. Who also wine and dine Congress where necessary. There are politicians and staffers in government one week, who are then working for major defence contractors the next week. So even voting out the crums, only temporarily inconveniences them for a while. And even if we completely changed the whole system, to something more like what the UK has. It would only be a matter of a few years before that much money-at-stake business found ways to corrupt it too. Sorry to burst anyone’s bubble. -G.E.

  19. ECA says:

    Glen,
should we pop ALL the bubble at 1 time??

HOW about we pass a new Wage stimulator law.
ALL persons, no matter there level of expertise or position, GET THE SAME HOURLY WAGE.
this could cause ALOT of shake up in this country.
