Improbus, This is actually a TV show in Canada. Search for “Just for Laughs” on google video or youtube. It’s filmed in Montreal.

That was done in Montreal’s Old Port, you see the Notre-Dame Basilica in the distance (the dome).
You even see part of the Just For Laughs logo, being cut out at the end of the clip.
There was one years ago, with a kid handing a remote control for his big RC car, that he leaves at your feet, while he goes inside for a few minutes. Of course the RC car runs amok and the kid’s RC control doesn’t work – that’s the prank.

That last one was expertly done.
The show is actually called Just for Laughs Gags. It’s basically the Just for Laughs’s answer to Candid Camera. Some of the gags are really, really funny. I find others quite cruel (and some actually dangerous).
Since I live in Montreal, I live in constant fear of getting caught by one of these. Luckily, I don’t get out much!
