>>They don’t have the guts to go after impeachment, and
>>instead pick on Alberto.
They know that if any criminal charges were levied against Dumbya, he’d get off on the grounds of “mental disease or defect” in a New York minute.
‘berto may be an idiot, but he’s not a vegetable. Man, it sure is pitiful that this guy is supposed to be the zenith of “justice” in the US, though. Qué pendejo. Shows you how far we’ve fallen under the reign of Little King Dumbya.
joshua,
You wrote,
…they are accused of firing Federal proscutors for going after Republicans …
to which I replied with FACTUAL information. The fact there is an investigation is NOT an indictment or even an indication of wrong doing. If you were a lawyer then you would realize that fact. If your home schooling did cover any civics about the judicial system, that should have been covered.
DeLay was indicted by the local D.A., but found his position untenable when the Justice Department indicted and put in prison his chief of Staff and was probing DeLay himself.
Delay resigned his seat because he knew he was now unelectable in a general election. He tried manipulating the process and even perjured himself in a sworn declaration. ALL acts are being investigated by the Texas D.A. NOT the US Attorney.
BTW, the ONE conviction solely by a US Attorney? She was FIRED.
BTW, Ney was first brought to attention in the Taft corruption scandal. Only later was his name tied to Abramoff.
*
.a couple (of fired US Attorneys) went because they refused to investigate or move faster in investigations of Democrats. While thats a screwed up reason to fire them, it’s not illegal.
Yes it is. It is called Obstruction of Justice. Get a lawyer to explain that to you.
Modern obstruction of justice, in United States jurisdictions, refers to the crime of offering interference of any sort to the work of police, investigators, regulatory agencies, prosecutors, or other (usually government) officials.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Obstruction_of_justice
(Wikipedia is not the ultimate source, BUT it is better then three pages of actual statute law)
*
Your wishful thinking just won’t change the facts. I only suggest this because you also wrote:
…it’s part of the Democratic Party oath to be corrupt in office, always has been.
*
Now, you want to mention the ONLY Democrat in jail? James Trafficant was jailed for crimes committed and investigated BEFORE Bush came into office. The trial was after the change in administrations.
Joshua,
I just don’t understand how anyone can defend Bush or Gonzales. To use the argument that firing US Attorneys for political reasons is legal and therefore acceptable is beyond me. This whole defense is reprehensible.
OK,
With all the Lie detectors,
BS detectors,
Stress analysis detectors,
TRUTH serums
Will someone STRAP this guy in, and DOPE him up….PLEASE…,
BUSH Co. is next…
Then Start the line with Congress.
