Lord Malloch Brown is a prominent critic of the US and his appointment [as a Foreign Office minister] has raised a few eyebrows.
“For better or worse, it is very unlikely that the Brown/Bush relationship is going to go through the baptism of fire and therefore be joined together at the hip like the Blair/Bush relationship was,” he said.
“There was an emotional intensity of being war leaders with much of the world against them that is enough to put you on your knees and get you praying together.”
Lord Malloch Brown, whose peerage came with the surprise job offer this month, rejected his “anti-American” reputation but added: “I am quite happy to be described as anti-neo-con.
“If they see me as a villain, I will wear that as a badge of honour.”
Folks used to joke that the PNAC cabal considered Britain the 51st State – when actually it was more akin to Guam. Serfs instead of vassals.
Actually if you look at a photo of Brown, he looks like you morphed a photo of Bush and Blair.
Well considering neotards don’t care what Iraqis think, why worry about what some brit has to say?
#2. The prospect of being left alone in Iraq, with no one but Albania for moral support.
#3, you forgot Poland!
so long as Samoa stands with us, who can stand against us?
Brownn is backtracking as fast as his chubby little feet will carry him. He put out a memo after Douglas Alexanders speech in Washington last week , telling all cabinet and lower ministers that all speechs must now be cleared by the PM when dealing with the U.S.
And if that wasn’t enough, he quickly moved up his **ass kissing** trip to see Bush by 2 weeks.
Malloch-Brown has been told to close it and keep it closed.
from the article:
“A shari’a mindset has also occasionally been evident in Minnesota, where earlier this year it was reported that many Minnesotan Muslim cab drivers were refusing to pick up passengers carrying alcohol or accompanied by seeing-eye dogs.”
hmmm … so, if Jewish Americans do not work on the High Holy Days, are they setting up a ‘parallel society’ themselves? How about Catholics walking around with smudges on their foreheads on Ash Wednesday? Baptists declining alcohol? Mormons abjuring alcohol and coffee?
If that is what the documentary was representing, I would agree that it was ‘alarmist.’
Liberals lose yet again.
