Taser’s new XREP packs its neuromuscular punch in a self-contained half-ounce projectile, the company says. Another convenient feature is that the XREP can be fired from a standard 12-gauge shotgun.

I already have a usb controlled missle launcher. This looks like much more fun than an IPhone. Where do I sign?
This could lead to some pretty hilarious news stories. After an officer kills a man with a shot gun round his response could be “I thought it had the tazer rounds loaded, I swear!”
Not to mention the crowd factor: “Oh my god, they just shot that man with a shotgun!” fear/panic
The whole point of the hand-held taser looking the way it does is that it *doesn’t* look like a real gun.

Yeah, I know if i had a shot gun pointed at my face, I would stop what ever I was doing , that instant.
On the plus side, it allows the cops to go all Dirty Harry on people:

Rubber bullet from a 12 guage, in the Side, will stop ANYONE…and its not 1/2 as expensive. AND WONT blow up, if the person is Doused in GAS.
