You can’t make this stuff up.
MANCHESTER, New Hampshire — Just as the Citizen Bank branch opened Saturday morning, a man walked in with leafy boughs duct-taped to his head and torso, and robbed the place.
“He really went out on a limb,” police Sgt. Ernie Goodno said Sunday.
Although the branches and leaves obscured much of the man’s face, someone who saw images from the bank’s security camera recognized the robber and called police.
He was probably recognized as the town dipso who walks around all the time with branches tied to his head? Its always the “ears” that give you away.
I wonder if the bank called the “Special Branch”. 🙂
I’m sure he didn’t intend to “STICK” out but after his arrest Im sure he’s turned over a new “LEAF”.
I’m sorry. I’ll stop now. It “WOOD”nt be fair for me to go on ;O)
He was probably trying to act like Robin Hood. Rob from the rich and give to the poor. Hiding deep into the forest like a ninja warrior in the dark. :))
I guess his “bark” was worse than his bite.
When the teller wouldn’t give him any money, he was stumped!
darn, everyone took all the good tree-puns.

Not really, there are still options for ‘shade’ and ‘root’ and with a bit of a stretch there are also possibilities with ‘arbor’, ‘canopy’, ‘foliage’, ‘twig’, etc.
It’s just a matter of how much you’re willing to work the gray matter. I refrained from giving any away because I know you’ll now want the fun for yourself. Frankly, it’s hardly a knotty problem unless you simply want to pine away while others log in with their offerings.
You failed to mention that the bank was on Elm Street, which seems noteworthy to me.
Personally, I’m just disappointed he got caught before we got to see his attempt to rob the Lake Street location.
