  1. Weird! says:

I don’t know what’s weirder – the cloud formations or the colour schemes on the apartment blocks!

  2. Mister Mustard says:

What is it a picture of??

  3. ECA says:

Look at the Cloud bank, rolling over the land.

  4. JoaoPT says:

Where is it? definetly Europe, but where?

My bet goes to Germany…(although we here in Portugal have some “ghetto state housing” looking as colorful…

  5. Miguel Correia says:

I’d like to know if there is an hill behind those clouds… They seem to be lenticulars, associated with wave formation.

  6. natefrog says:

That, my friends, is a shelf cloud. Sometimes referred to as a “mother ship” cloud.

Fairly common with the severe weather I see on the plains here. Once it passes overhead, you’re usually bombarded by heavy rains and strong winds, sometimes hail, but hail usually occurs more towards the middle of the storm.

  7. Jonathan Fox says:

If you look closely the photo has a warehouse and the name on it says “Kiermasz”. When you Google it, it throws up a bunch of Polish links.

    Nice cloud too! 🙂

  8. OhForTheLoveOf says:

It LOOKS like a scene from Independence Day, but the picture above has a better plot and acting.

  9. mrdweeb says:

That’s a CGI picture. The clouds may be real, though.

  10. see says:
