Hop, that is one deluxe find.

I watched it twice and sent it to some friends. I’ll bet lots of folks will get a smile today.

    Great short film. Terrible advertisement.

The only reason this would make me want to buy a VW is if I wanted to say thank you for the commercial. I really liked it but not THAT much.

  4. Ken In Berkeley says:

That was very well done! Too bad it was an ad for something.

  5. Cursor_ says:

Of course none of what was pictured in the ad meant CAR.

Nice looking, but like most things created by the ad people these days it was vapid. That’s how the world is anymore. People want nice looking and empty headed.

Our books, movies, TV, even websites. Nice looking with as much substance as gossamer.

  6. I’d agree it is absolutely engaging. However the archives of full of incredibly entertaining and creative ads that never sell the product. OK now that you just saw the ad, can you tell me what car was it for? What was the anchor to the product?

  7. John Paradox says:

RE: subject not relating to product.
Some time ago (years?) another car company had an ad that started with someone having to choose between Decaf and regular coffee. The idea was to avoid having to make choices. Not only did it completely ignore the product (I only remember it was for SOME car.. because I made a special note.. and see how well THAT worked!), but it pushed the idea of not having to think.
