I’m always amused by this sort of Man on the Street interview where people are shown to be generally clueless. Here they are asked what month 9/11 took place and answer August or October. It reminds me of the Groucho Marx query on You Bet Your Life as to who was buried in Grant’s Tomb and numerous people could not answer it correctly.

I agree entirely with number 32.
I also reckon that, more important than known the date of 9-11 or what religion the terrorists claimed to represent, is:
1. How to change the oil in your car and check the tire pressure (unless you don’t drive)
2. How to fix basic things around your house like change a light fixture, put up a shelf, that kind of thing
3. How to cook and season your food using base ingredients
4. Basic contract law (particular regarding renting property and employment contracts)
5. Basic vegetable gardening
5. Where your food comes from (at least what animal it comes from)
And was is more sad is how few people know these basic skills….
-Ben.
34,
Yes….
And how the food you buy is prepared, raised, and processed.
what the differences are between REgular thru Organic… AND If you should care.
How many can tell the diff from REAL meat BEEF to a Dairy cow served on a plate. Or even care how these animals are treated.
Know ing that Farmers get $2.60 for 100lbs of potates and that you are paying 10-1000 times for them.. but the farmer wont see that money.
Deciding WHAT to remember is a pain, and very complexed. And the Gov ISNT helping.
Why is the title “Amiercans Cannot Say…” when this is clearly a foreign news program, and those interviewed are clearly not Americans?
You do all know, nothing on TV is real…
