All my wealth is my family and the few living lifelong friends I have (and a cat). Sorry to disappoint you, and now I know I won’t visit Venezuela.

I’m a very wealthy man with no money — my father is still alive, my wife still loves me (go figure), I’ve one living beautiful daughter, and (some) aunts and uncles. When you lose a parent, child or lifelong friend, you realize what’s actually important in life. It sure ain’t money. But I guess that’s just me, the rich imperialistic gringo pig. I didn’t realize how things are in Venezuela.

As for BubbaRay, Pedro has said better than I could ever do. Listen it doen’t matter if you’re rich or no (economically). As long as you speak english “you’ll be Bush’s CIA dog and the only reason you’re here is to kill Chavez”.

#51, Yes it does indeed suck. With the currency exchange controls the internal inflation levels have reached 20%. This creates a situation where it’s no longer profitable to produce in Venezuela when it’s much cheaper to import goods. This creates unemployment and destroys private enterprise. If the price of oil goes down, the jig is up. The dependency on oil is so large that price fluctuations can cause financial earthquakes in the country.
Keeping your savings in Venezuela will only erode its value. Any person that can convert their savings into US$ has done so already. Local currency is becoming more worthless by the day.
Did you know that now you cannot find meat at supermarkets? Wonderful Economy indeed! 🙁
