End times report

This is absolutely unbelievable!

  1. Joe says:

I’m so glad that I’m an atheist.

Is that guy for real or is it comedy?

  2. Masema@GMail.com says:

Where there is religion there would be those who’d exploit it for their own benefit. Instead of teaching about tolerance and peace, this scum uses hate to promote himself.
This is not unusual, it also happens in Judaism and notably in Islam…

Religion – It will doom us all.

  3. Pierre says:

I believe it is called tragedy

  4. BubbaRay says:

I can’t find the actual origin of the quote “Don’t shoot the messenger”, but in this case, an arrow or two through the testicles seems an appropriate respone. By all that is good and logical, Let not this man reproduce. (BubbaRay 5:1-2) Just my two cents (two new gold dollars) worth.

  5. Greg Allen says:

Oh, for crying-out-loud, I’m getting tired of this.

I am the FIRST ONE to admit that some of my fellow Christians can be total nutcases. But for every nutcase there are thousands upon thousands of perfectly normal Christians who just live their lives, the best they can, like you and I do.

And then there are fewer (but still many) Christian who selflessly and relentlessly work to make the world a better place. But, of course, you never run THOSE articles here.

    For example:

  6. Tippis says:

    #4: Meh…

It’s no different from how Islam is generally treated — it should come as no surprise. Say the craziest things, and the cameras will be on you, and generalize your actions to represent some larger congregation than you and your cat. :-/

  7. Petrov says:

#4 – Great article. Thanks for the link!

  8. Ken says:

Just goes to show, you can spin the bible any way you want! The greatest work of fiction ever written.

  9. ace says:

Reminds me years ago of an old fundamentalist preacher , Pastor Eggler, Sunday nights on cky am radio in Winnipeg
    Clueless . A nutcase.
    Scripture… scripture .. scripture.
    Downright dangerous.
Praying for armageddon to cleanse our souls.Downright dangerous.

  10. Anonymous says:

    [spam – ed.]

  11. Paul says:

So this wacko has a point. If what he says is true and we are violating their freedom of speech because we disagree with them then what we deserve is the fricking totalitarian, wire taping, citizen monitoring, warmongering, government we have.

Maybe that is the vengeance of “god.” These idiots have the inalienable right to think and speak in anyway they want and I have the right not to listen or to speak up against them but if we are “conducting a war of terror” on them then I am forced to apologize…

And I hate apologizing to ass holes!

  12. Lauren the Ghoti says:

No surprise here – Among the mainstream Xian sects, Baptists feature the lowest average IQ; loonies and idiots are commonplace.

And – consistent with the psychological principle that the more irrational the belief, the greater the fanatical conviction with which that belief is held – being the most literal, and hence the most irrational, Bible sect naturally entails that (a) they are utterly certain that they alone are correct, and (b) since they are, quite obviously, correct, of course they have the God-given right to force their beliefs on everyone else. God told ’em so!

The Baptist are a wonderful object lesson in the logical consequences of believing in that patchwork collection of ludicrous absurdities that is the Bible.

The intellectually curious might enjoy perusing the demographics of various American metropolitan areas; note the high correlation between Baptist presence as a % of the Xian pop, v. alcoholism, spousal abuse, out-of-wedlock pregnancies, various crimes against persons and other social pathologies, &c, &c. Fascinating stuff.

L’il bit o’ Texas humor for a Sunday morning:

Q: Why don’t Baptists screw standing up?
A: Someone might think they’re dancing.

  13. Ballenger says:

Thanks for posting this one. I haven’t had a chance to check Guinness lately and wasn’t sure who is the current title holder for America’s biggest a-hole pseudo-cleric.

  14. Greymoon says:

Lies! All lies old man. And we know what the almighty thinks about deceit and untruth, right old man?

    Psalms 31:18,
“Let the lying lips be put to silence;”

    Psalms 58:3,
“The wicked are estranged from the womb: they go astray as soon as they be born, speaking lies.”

    Proverbs 14:5,
“A faithful witness will not lie: but a false witness will utter lies.”

    Jeremiah 7:4,
“Trust ye not in lying words,”

    Daniel 11:27,
“…and they shall speak lies at one table; but it shall not prosper:”

  15. Two thoughts come immediately to mind –

His role model is obviously the bizarrely outspoken, recently deceased Jerry Fallwell.
¡ Hey, we helped to make it work for him !

The Maya, in what was to become Mexico, believed that cutting the still beating hearts from their living victims caused their weather to change. It worked. They wasted the victims and sure enough, the weather changed.

  16. KVolk says:

    What a nut job.

  17. fisher says:

Sort of reminds me of the orignal Henry Ford Sr.
    What an evil man
Not only created an evil car , popularized gas guzzling SUVs ( Ford Explorer for little women to drive to the shopping mall safe ) but spread hatred evil and religion in his name. Soon to be a division of Toyota or Nissan

  18. Virgin Mary says:

I guess these pastors have to have something to do when little boys aren’t available.

  19. Jägermeister says:

    #6 (Tippis), #8 (Ken)

    Exactly.

  20. Gary Marks says:

It’s amazing when you realize that Christians all across the world derive such wildly varying interpretations from the very same book (with only minor variations in the “source code,” to borrow a tech term).

Doesn’t that enormous amount of variation, even among the sincerest believers, necessarily imply an appalling lack of communication skills on the part of the god who supposedly inspired the entirety of the writing? A certain deity that I won’t name could use a few lessons in clear, unambiguous communications.

Not all of the interpretive differences can be blamed on the readers having poor comprehension, or filtering the ideas through their own agenda. I don’t mean to offend anyone, but I think it’s time to consider the possibility that God is simply retarded.

And that, dear flock, is today’s sermon.

  21. Mark Derail says:

Reminds me of a movie Poltergeist (1982)

That preacher in the movie that leads his sheep underground to die with him.

He’s right about more massacres – just look around the world, just a matter of time – but God has nothing to do with it.

Too many humans sharing too many resources, everyone wants his piece.

  22. bobbo says:

Much as I belittle religion, I don’t blame this nut job on religion, religion is just where he landed. Much more dangerous, and just as ludicrous, is what respected leaders of major cults have to say, or for that matter, the bible itself. This rut is well worn.

  23. Bruce IV says:

@12 – He isn’t Baptist – the Baptist church rejects him. He’s a lunatic hiding behind religion – sort of a Christian bin Laden.

  24. John Paradox says:

Fred Phelps and family, a long time hater. He has protested at the funeral of Matthew Shepherd (the gay who was dragged behind a truck!), at military funerals of those killed in Iraq and Afghanistan, and many other times.

As for the bible quotes he uses, I decided to find adjacent quotes:

    Psalm 86: (King James Version)
15But thou, O Lord, art a God full of compassion, and gracious, long suffering, and plenteous in mercy and truth.

    Romans 12: (King James Version)

16Be of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things, but condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits.
17Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men.
18If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.
19Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.
20Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head.

    Galatians 6:
1Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted.
2Bear ye one another’s burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.
3For if a man think himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceiveth himself.
4But let every man prove his own work, and then shall he have rejoicing in himself alone, and not in another.
5For every man shall bear his own burden.
6Let him that is taught in the word communicate unto him that teacheth in all good things.

    2 Thessalonians 1

2Grace unto you, and peace, from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
    3We are bound to thank God always for you, brethren, as it is meet, because that your faith groweth exceedingly, and the charity of every one of you all toward each other aboundeth;
4So that we ourselves glory in you in the churches of God for your patience and faith in all your persecutions and tribulations that ye endure:
5Which is a manifest token of the righteous judgment of God, that ye may be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which ye also suffer:

    Psalm 58

1Do ye indeed speak righteousness, O congregation? do ye judge uprightly, O ye sons of men?
2Yea, in heart ye work wickedness; ye weigh the violence of your hands in the earth.

    1 Chronicles 12

17And David went out to meet them, and answered and said unto them, If ye be come peaceably unto me to help me, mine heart shall be knit unto you: but if ye be come to betray me to mine enemies, seeing there is no wrong in mine hands, the God of our fathers look thereon, and rebuke it.

    Matthew 16
1The Pharisees also with the Sadducees came, and tempting desired him that he would shew them a sign from heaven.
2He answered and said unto them, When it is evening, ye say, It will be fair weather: for the sky is red.

    Jude 1

1Jude, the servant of Jesus Christ, and brother of James, to them that are sanctified by God the Father, and preserved in Jesus Christ, and called:
2Mercy unto you, and peace, and love, be multiplied.
3Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.

    Hebrews 5

1For every high priest taken from among men is ordained for men in things pertaining to God, that he may offer both gifts and sacrifices for sins:
2Who can have compassion on the ignorant, and on them that are out of the way; for that he himself also is compassed with infirmity.
3And by reason hereof he ought, as for the people, so also for himself, to offer for sins.

    2 Peter 2

1But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.
[1a and they shall be called Fred Phelps]
2And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.

(this is as far as the video would run, slightly under 5 minutes)

Notice not only the ‘careful’ selection of one line from the quotes, creating a meaning out of context, but also that most of these are YHWH quotes – Old Testament, fire and brimstone.

But these are allegedly ‘christians’ – followers of the Messiah

  27. NappyHeadedHo says:

He may hate fags but I’ll bet we find out that his wife or daughter are fans of the whiskered biscuit. Also, I’d venture to say he didn’t get those flat knees from praying and that round mouth from eating square meals.

  28. joshua says:

#24…Matthew Shepard wasn’t dragged behind a truck…that was James Byrd…who’s sin was being black in Texas.
Shepard was beaten, tied to a fence, beaten some more then left to die for being Gay in Wyoming.

Phelps, the Anti-Christ is crazy as a loon, but so is his kids. The nutjob gene runs strong in that bunch.

  29. joshua says:

oh, and I didn’t watch the video….I don’t believe in the death penalty…..but I honestly would kill this man myself. He is lowest person I think I have ever heard.

He is on a rare list, my *people that truely deserve to die* list.

  30. tallwookie says:

i watched parts of the video… lots of fire & damnation – pretty standard stuff – the test bullitens that pop up in the upper left hand corder are hella funny though
