Another amazing ad being show in the U.K. for Skoda (a car manufacturer from Eastern Europe).

Here’s a picture of the engine:

For a breakdown of the ad, you can go here.

  1. mark says:

This reminds of the SNL skit about the car in Mexico made completely from mud, the Adobe!

  2. Mr. Fusion says:

Just before the Berlin wall fell, Skodas were exported to Canada. I talked to a dealer one day who admitted he refused to sell anymore, none that he had sold had gone more then 50,000 Kilometers without blowing up the engine. Are they any better today?

  3. Gig says:

#2 Sounds like the Yugo. The cutting edge of Serbo-Croatian technology.

  4. @$tr0Gh0$t says:

vW owns Skoda, which means that quality should have improved.

  5. KVolk says:

    wow! sweet ride….

  6. I.P. Freely says:

These PRETZELS are making me THIRSTY!

  7. Miguel says:

Skoda is now a cheap VW. They’re pretty common here in Portugal, and I suppose all over Europe, and quality is OK. I know some people who own them, and they don’t have anything extraordinary to say about them, so I suppose they would be a cheap, safe buy. I just find them a bit ugly.

  8. Rob says:

I would need a lot of cat poop coffee to wash that all down with.

  9. John Paradox says:

Perfect to park in front of a gingerbread house!

    J/P=?

  10. hhopper says:

No wonder they don’t last long. They’re made of CAKE!

  11. JoaoPT says:

The way VW group works is having the economy of scale:
They use the same suspension, transmission, dashboards and engines across the brands:

the Skoda Fabia is the same as the VW Polo as the SEAT Ibiza. that’s class 2

Skoda Octavia, VW Golf, AUDI A3, SEAT Leon: same basis class 3 cars

the prices are not the same though…

  12. bb says:

I’m pretty sure Julie Andrews didn’t get a cent for that video. Call the RIAA!

  13. Rob says:

#12, no, but they gave her a big knife and let her cut the first piece.

  14. Slappy says:

    I’d tap Julie Andrews.
